Please have different colours at launch. The console box even mentions the console colour next to the 500GB, hope this is an indication  of launching with 2 different colours. However I think that the glossy part of the ps4 will remain black even with different colours.

I got the Amazon launch day bundle with Killzone Shadow Fall and a 1-year PSPlus subscription for $500, plus the camera and Need for Speed Rivals.

I'm also thinking about Madden 25 and an extra gamepad so I can play with my dad.

I'm waiting for Sony to announce a premium bundle with the camera packed in. With it I'll get Killzone, the free PS+ editon of Driveclub and the Super Stardust sequel.

Toys are most fun when they're new and missing out on great games just to save a few bucks doesn't seem like a great idea to me. The graphics won't be as impressive a few years down the line and the multiplayer modes of the launch games will already be dead. Sure, if the launch line-up doesn't fit your taste then it makes sense to wait. Waiting for years to save $50-100 when the interesting games are already out makes less sense.

Might still cancel my PS4 preorder. I waited 2 years to get a ps3/360, just got caught up in the PS4 hype. It depends on TGS announcements and whether the launch exclusives are any good.

The PS4 hardware is mostly off the shelf mid-range laptop parts, I don't see any big hardware issues.

I didn't buy a PS3 until February 2007, and by then you could walk into any store and pick one up. I don't see it being any different with the PS4. Also, there's nothing at launch that interests me at the moment, but I'm sure a crap Gundam game will get announced at TGS.

I have an Amazon PS4 preorder ... not sure if I should keep it or not. On the one hand, there's nothing I want at launch - on the other, I'll almost certainly want one before the first price drop. And yeah, launch build quality is usually hand-stitched janky. Even just waiting til the following March/April will lead to 300% better build quality, I'm sure.

I've mostly kept it so far because I'm worried about some sort of holiday rush, but let's be real, Sony's not gonna be supply restrained and the days of console crushes are far behind us. :'(

^yeah, that's a big reason for me.  Can't think of a game I'll buy with it.  I may end up playing Driveclub PS+ or maybe mess with some free to play games.  Infamous SS in early 2014 it'ss what I want the PS4 for.  Can't imagine anything major will change in the few months between launch and Infamous.

In my experience, if you got a lemon, it'll usually break down within the 1st year so the standard warranty would still cover a replacement

I'm just skipping the launch cuz the games look underwhelming compared to what's already playable on a high-end PC
