I'm assuming some residual worship and/or collective circle-jerking has rubbed off on you given your status now. Otherwise, I can't fathom anyone 'respecting' the above cretins.

Well, I think you are misconstruing what I meant by mutual respect. I don't suffer from delusions of grandeur. I know that having a red name at a forum doesn't validate any innate sense of awesomeness any of us might think we have, even at that forum. I don't think I'm part of some elite inner circle safely insulated from the humble masses surrounded by fellow Internet superstars.

By "mutual respect," I was just referencing a respect for their moderation choices. That phrasing came up in response to someone questioning their lifeline. And I was just responding that there's not a lot of bickering about other mods' decisions. Unless some line is clearly crossed, things run more smoothly if you just operate under the assumption that they know what they're doing. The gig is annoying enough when you get complaints from users about moves that may or may not have been your's. It would be pretty annoying if every decision was scrutinized by another mod because it might affect someone they like.

But no, I don't think we are icons. I'll never be The Wrathful Mod of Moses.

Minsc and Kabouter are OK too from what I've seen of them. Minsc mostly seems to tend to the GOG thread and such though. At least that's where he's most visible to me.

That's why I don't usually carry my phone around or have it turned off most of the time. I don't even like to answer the phone at home, so the ability to carry that potential disturbance with me is one facet of modern life I really don't appreciate.

I'm sure most of them are fine but there's been a growing contingent over the last few years that seem to moderate according to their personal agendas. Why aren't Nintendo copping it for this? I suspect there was an escape clause that said : If the WiiU userbase is below X units, then we can take the title multiplatform. This is NINTENDO not locking down the games they needed and Ubisoft doing the right thing to generate profits.

Also - maybe it's to do with the disappearance of the NFC stuff - what the hell happened to that idea?
