Am I loved and protected by the mods, Steve?
I don't really know how to answer something like that. For the most part, if I had juicy info, it's probably not something I would offer publicly here unless it was otherwise known to people who knew to look for it. You haven't been banned a lot, so my gut instinct would be to assume that you have some more bans left before someone just says "maybe this time enough's enough." But I honestly don't know if anyone has you in their sights. And if that were the case, generally speaking, mods show a good deal of deference to each others judgement. So, if this is a "you got my back?" question (not saying it is), the answer would be the same to you as anyone else here, on GAF, or in real life: probably not. I know different people have their own opinions of the different mods, but even if it sounds like a lame copout answer, the fact of the matter is that I think there's a lot of mutual respect among the moderators there. There's not a lot of bickering in terms of "You've done goofed by banning that person I like! We need to fix this egregious misstep!"
(I modified one sentence, there.)
Kinda LTTP, but honestly Steve - how the fuck do you 'respect' any of the moderators there? I mean, just off the top of my head:
- Lore is an introvert turned egomaniac
- Mutes is a sexually repressed virgin
- Whiteman is clinically insane
- Duckroll is a pedophile
- Opiate is just awkwardly bizarre
And so on. It's pretty much the equivalent of what I would expect from going to a weird con or some brony meet-up. Granted, I'm sure there's a few mods who are not socially awkward. Perhaps even respectable. However, the vast majority are downright weird and creepy.
I'm assuming some residual worship and/or collective circle-jerking has rubbed off on you given your status now. Otherwise, I can't fathom anyone 'respecting' the above cretins.
