I think the only part about that thread that bothers me is that you have gaffers saying the kids social skills will be stunted. I don't think a majority of the people on GAF are exactly the authority on being social, and I'm sure none of them went to university at 11. Some people are just going to be socially distinguished mentally-challenged. I do remember when I went to community college, the kids who did running start (program that lets high school kids take college classes) were mostly kind of obnoxious or weird. But they'd at least made it up to their sophomore year of high school.

Well the bug is apparently that Arabic letters destroy Mac browsers due to its rendering engine.

Probably because the bug is a targeted textstring. Like the Netgear(?) DDC=? or whatever textstring bug that once the hardware "read" the bug, it got confused due to issues (in the case of the modem/router it couldn't process the information correctly) and crashed.

I'm thinking it's a new thing that Apple overlooked or simply didn't know was there at the time.

To be fair, I can understand where he's coming from. The "poor kid" argument is kinda flat: What should the kid do? Not fulfill his potential and stay in elementary/middle school with kids his age for the social experience while not being engaged in materiel that he isn't finding challenging?

I have no sympathies for someone trying to use their trans status as justification for being compulsive liars.
