m00t seemed to be OK with identifying himself with his creation until maybe a few years ago? I first started visiting /b/ in late 2006 or so, and he was semi-regularly posting then. I imagine running a site like that takes a toll.

Perhaps hate is too strong a word. Lowtax dislikes most of SA but enjoys a handful of forums and recognizes that it's an amazing source of income. m00t can't stand modern /b/ and has grown to strongly dislike 4chan and its users. Having his identity revealed might have something to do with that.

If m00t hates 4chan, it's pretty recent. In 2005-2008 he was pretty fine with 4chan.

I think the turning point for him would be that Facebook knockoff (does anyone even remember the name?) he created that 4chan outright hated because "it was taking income from us to do that" or whatever.

I never got the huge appeal of MOBAs. Too much click-click-click. The most common advice for beginners is to hang back and kill creeps. So the first advice in a PVP game is to avoid PVP. Doesn't instill confidence. Plus, it's esports crazy and e-sports is a corporate shatcake of pvp.

I don't play MOBA or Traditional RTS games but MOBA's seem far more my speed. They are simpler in the sense of less managing of multiple units and resources and the various characters in the game seem similar to the concept of different characters in a fighting game. That and being free makes for pretty wide appeal for young people who don't have a lot of cash.
