You also have to consider that the population would increase exponentially if they stopped the policy, too.  That first generation of aborted fetuses would have reproduced, and so would their offspring, etc.  Plus, if there was no policy in place to begin with, what's to stop families from having like 9 kids?

Eh, it's pretty cray everywhere. Last week some idiot tried to break in but I saw him and he ran away after I shouted "wtf are you doing". I can hear gunshots going off at night a few nights of the week and all sorts of commotion on the streets.

I dunno, he brings up a good point.  The language describing inequality, stratification, and oppression has definitely infested online communities for the past year or two.  Just like when people get excited about hard sciences without knowing anything more than factoids, people get excited about social science concepts and start trying to throw them around in every situation possible (i.e. the star trek cosplayer dressed as Jordie being considered blackface.)   

and hey, give the internet a situation where one side is "pure good" and the other side can be represented as pure evil, and a bunch of assholes on both sides will run with it.  So you have the "good" side, which consists of people using their knowledge of social inequality to bait people into "exposing" others ("Uh oh, can't say 'cheeseburger' anymore!  You're totally busted, mr. oppressive white guy.")  And you have the "bad side" which is just trolls on the internet and a whole lot of actual, real life privilege-abusers and racists whom online nerds would never challenge in real life (partially because it's difficult to objectively call out a situation unless someone's flatly saying "lets discriminate!")

Some people might genuinely want to learn more, and they'll probably be smart enough to exit the mainstream internet dialogue about inequality, as it's like a bunch of sociology 101 students who just finished the class, only more stupid and rambunctious with the judgments.   

Ironically, all these smart people who are destroying any hope of a constructive conversation about inequality on the internet are the same ones who would tell you Sociology is a slacker major...which it is, but none of these people are proving themselves up to the challenge of learning about it.  You don't learn critical thinking skills that are applicable to social interaction in an engineering, business, graphic design, computer science etc. program, nor do you learn any in-depth information about social inequality, so I'm not sure why a bunch of internet nerds suddenly thought they could comment on this so adamantly.  They should be smart enough to know when they don't know something.

The whole YOUR PRIVILEGE thing is a self destructive argument. In many ways, I agree with EviLore. Someone point me to an argument in which someone brings out the P card which has made that dialogue more informative? I can't think of any. Despite having basic merit in truth, the privilege argument rarely  - if ever - adds to constructive debate and is mostly used by straight white men, by my estimation. Thanks for fighting the fight, brother! Privilege is among the worst self hate talking points that liberals use, as it (1) never offers any resolution or answers to SOLVING said privilege, (2) has no message at all aside from making such privilege known, and (3) despite acknowledging said privilege are unwilling to do anything except call out privilege. What then? How do we solve this? It's just another cute talking point used by white people behind a computer who are unwilling to actually contribute and fix things through sacrifice in place of outrage. Go volunteer at a homeless shelter or something like a normal person - fuck.

One of the most vapid, banal arguments and "movements" I've ever fucking seen.
