I don't know if it was actually better when I registered ('06). Part of that is because I almost always just skim threads. I pay more attention when something gets quoted several times or when certain people reply, but otherwise there are just too many posts to keep up with everything (unless all you do is read GAF, which is what I suspect people like Wario64 do).
