Yep. The type of people I put on ignore have no redeeming qualities. They're just noise. It's like the digital equivalent of shutting your apartment window because some asshole outside is loudly talking on the phone, why subject yourself to something like that when you can easily silence it (by murdering him, not shutting the window, obviously).

And Trab got banned for a South Park quote lol. How do people even remember quotes from tv shows/movies? I think I only know like two Sopranos quotes and one from OZ and definitely not word for word, and from all the movies I've seen (even those I've seen several times) "I'll be back" is the only line I remember. How many times do you need to watch stuff to be able to memorize lines or do people keep lists of quotes or do I just have exceptionally shitty memory? I'm feeling really dumb today, I don't understand anything.

Shaka's list looks somewhat familiar to me.  In my last year or so at GAF, I started ignore-hammering everyone who went past a certain level of stupid, particularly from the Sony camp.

Of course, it reached a point where the cancer I was trying to remove was larger than the healthy tissue I was trying to save, so I just abandoned ship.

Yeah that's why I don't ignore people on GAF, almost everyone would be on my ignore list in no time since I'd probably soon start ignoring people after one stupid post. I just read only a few threads here and there and if the first page is stupid I don't read any further (so 90% of the time, unless it's super stupid and I must torture myself by reading more for the facepalms and lulz) and I very rarely post so I don't get in arguments with dumb people too often. Makes the experience much more pleasant.

Before GAF turned into shit (around 2007), my ignore list was mostly for the "Wario64" type poster: inane one liner junk posters and threadshitters that added nothing to a discussion.  Now it would be full of whiners who fritter away their already useless lives butthurtsplainin why chicks with big boobs and dumbass Penny Arcade panels are damaging to video games as an emerging and misunderstood art form.

Not extra work, an extra mile of thought that could best be used somewhere else. Computer makes some horrible posts but I tend to just...not read them. Putting him on ignore would validate his shittiness IMO.
