First of all,  @ The Last Of Us being a long game(it did go on longer than it should have for what it's worth). Second, I used to be uber pissed at games suddenly clocking at 4-7 hours at the start of this gen with more focus on online multiplayer which I almost never use with very few exceptions. But ever since I've moved to the US and had college, a job and the endless wonder that is women taking up my time I couldn't help but prefer games to be a little shorter so that I can enjoy them enough to beat them instead of losing interest and giving up halfway. I was able to enjoy long games this gen as well but I've never really been able to really enjoy them unless I was on my many return visits to Saudi where there's nothing else to do.

Oh I agree, in fact a "long game" (60+ hours) is more likely to repel me than anything else (still haven't finished Xenoblade), but I have to question when someone says 13 hours is "long."

I think the multiple piercings and studded leather braces etc is what throws people off about me. 65 hours.  That's how long Yakuza 5 was.  But actual length seems to be pretty different from how long a game feels.  A two-hour Metroid can feel just right, a two-hour God of War can feel too short, and two hours of Lords of Shadow will make you want to die.

I remember spending a couple of days playing nothing but Yakuza 3, on the other side of that tunnel I finished the game, scratched the tip of the sub quests and dabbled with the arena once. I spent probably 20/30 hours on it without ever feeling the game was a burden. Love Yakuza.
