Electronic dance music will always be around, it's been here since the 80's and is continuously evolving. I was mainly talking about the excessive commercialization/Wall Street-ization of the music. I.E. SFX Entertainment buying out Beatport and all these festival promoters and having an IPO and all that jazz. In North America/the UK, electronic music tends to wax and wane in the mainstream consciousness - it'll be very big for a while, die down (the "die down" period is usually when the most interesting records are being made, naturally), then get big again...

Frankly, it's hard to take any other position. If they want to talk civilly, fine. But tell them to leave their ethnocentrism at the door.

Comparing those two in general is stupid. One is completely wrong for several reasons. The other is just meh, anyone can be a character without the face paint in my opinion. It's just unnecessary and dumb. We can disagree on that point I don't really care. I'm just pointing out that accusing the other side of being outraged and offended starts threads off on shitty grounds. People don't have to come to a consensus every time but willful ignorance and polarizing the debate is all that happens over there.

I don't really think that's much of an argument. Especially since it is far harder to lighten the skin to that degree and change hair type compared to some white chick who picked up one thing of caramel foundation and put it on her face in oh, five minutes time. You bet your ass, if black/dark skin people could do it, they'd do it more often.

not to mention doing "whiteface" isnt actually a thing, while blackface is a tried-and-true tradition we've done for years as a way to laugh at black people. not really comparable imo

The X-box's downgraded resolutions are coming true. BF4 is confirmed to be sub-1080 or even 720p from PS4's 1080. Can't blame MS console warriors like MCD to be salty about that. Same for the Wii U and PS4.

It's just salt all around for minor things that should've been seen coming from the runup of these launches.
