I desperately want nintendo to get an even higher profile exclusive, the meltdowns are just too good. The best possible would be a GTA exclusivity deal, but that's impossible. Metal Gear exclusive would also be fun. I have no interest in either of those franchises either.

That topic just got me thinking about one of the guy's videos where's there's a woman on his bed in the background and my first thought is "huh, I wonder if people would say she's a pedophile". Dude, don't worry about it. I find it more amusing than offensive, and that goes for Devo too.

I'm kind of surprised that's where my reputation has gone, though. I've prided myself as the "battle shounen guy" much longer than that.

But really, my stance has mostly been an all-encompassing anti-censorship thing, not particularly pertaining to that junk specifically. That Neil Gaiman post just mostly seemed so damn reasonable to me, that I kind of adopted it as my viewpoint.

But hey, everyone's free to disagree! It's 4th of July, the day of freedom and stuff!

I actually agreed with removing it, whether to satisfy the ESRB or just to make it slightly more appealing to a wider audience. Censorship for those reasons is something I'm cool with.

Obsessive fans like that have a slightly different stance I would say.

I don't think you can pinpoint an actual starting point since the change was so gradual. Some would say it began in '07. I would probably guess late '09 when my account was approved.

I see it a lot too in my line of work too. (e.g. sales tax nexus, state income tax nexus)

It's not really a word you see outside certain settings, however.
