Anyway, looking at their release list, it's not hard to see why they've fallen on hard times. They're banking on "niche" titles in the west on Portables when the west doesn't have a market like that in the West. Though it's weird they've gone for these perverted titles after Ys on Vita.

...Then again, with how dead that portable is and how starved for titles that userbase seems to be, I guess it's a smart move.

The reason games like Air don't get released here at all -- and games like ef get swept under the rug when they are -- is because even when games with minimal fanservice are released, they get absolutely blasted by the media, so why would anyone take a risk on a brilliant game with straight-up sex scenes in it?

If we don't start respecting video games as a viable medium for adult content, we will never see gaming's Game of Thrones or The Sopranos. Because no one will ever be willing to take the plunge.

It's Way Of The Samurai (same development team) set in modern-day Japan, with otaku crap and a stripping mechanic.

I found a review that praised the game and said that the dialogue was pretty funny, but also that the story was garbage and that it's unabashedly filled with T n' A, as anyone would expect just by looking at it. IIRC Acquire also pretty openly stated this attitude about the game's content, which makes the XSeed dude's comments even more hilarious.

Just fucking own up to the content and stop trying to make it seem like this not a game a primary focus on underwear and shit-- the game is called Akiba'S TRIP, for crying out loud. Stop pretending like games like Senran Kagura and this are not fan-service focused. They are. That doesn't mean they're garbage but it's pretty obvious that they're going to turn off a lot of people because of that kind of content. Get over it and market it accordingly.

I'm exactly the type of perv who would buy a game like this and the XSeed dude's ridiculous posts make me not want to do so.

All sexual arousing contact does to me is want to do the actual acts that arouse me. It's more like enticing them than shutting them out.

Like Oscar and a billion other people said, the only way to deal with this is to stop them and let them know time and time again that it's not right and shouldn't even be catered to.

Social sanctions didn't stop homosexuals and it won't stop pedophiles either if their sexual urges are biological in nature rather than choices. They probably won't seek out professional help because they are so scared to openly talk about it in the first place. So they hide behind "the game is art!"
