Harbaugh to Michigan, looking more and more likely.

unless he decides to go to Oakland for the money/control.

Tom Brady the GOAT

Snow > Manning

My Brownies are 5-3...almost makes up for Rivers getting me a -6 sunday.

Also Browns Thursday night versus Bengals...biggest game of year.

If only Gordon was back!

A couple wins for me in fantasy this week, Jeremy Hill sure gave me a scare when he went out, but came back in for a couple TDs :rejoice

That Browns loss is what we needed.  Also, Browns are better that most AFC teams.  That division is rough.

Losing Mack is going to set us back though. I really think we'll end up with 7-9 wins, 9 wins being top end. Without our running game we are going to be too one-dimensional to beat the remaining teams on our schedule....

Let's go down the list

@ The Bengals: Thursday night games are weird..50/50 we win or get blown out
vs the Texans: 50/50 chance at best. Watt is going to kill us
@ The Falcons:  On the road, I think we lose a shootout.
@ The Bills: Nobody is sleeping on these guys anymore....loss
vs The Colts: Ugh
vs The Bengals: 50/50
@ The Panthers: We can win this but it's on the road....L
@ The Ravens: Not sold on Baltimore. I believe we can win this too.

Ugh.
YMMV

You can't win games in December without a running game and bad special teams.

It's going to hurt when Sammy Watkins lights up the Browns for 150+ yards when they play the Bills. I still don't get the Gilbert draft pick.

Agree....why we passed on Evans or Watkins knowing that Gordon was going to be out is perplexing.

Gilbert is improving though.

And that Haden bat to interception

CB is one of the hardest positions to play in the NFL, almost no one plays well as a rookie CB. I wanted Gilbert in the draft (or Kyle Fuller, who was playing well in Chicago before the injury). He has the side and speed to be good.

Trust me, I know.

Revis and Haden both struggled until about halfway through their first season. Gilbert seems to be improving.

Based Haden

Notice here how he positions his legs inside the receiver's during ball denial and opens his shoulders. That's textbook shit right there.

Yup and those are exceptions. Last year Darius Slay looked horrible as a rookie CB for the Lions and was benched multiple times. During the offseason he worked with Rod Woodson, going over tape and technique, and so far has looked significantly better.

Smart guy to learn from.

Charles tried to help us but he was just so much better than we were we could only take about 30% of his lessons to heart.

He'd be like scan, deceive, and close....uh yeah, but you did that shit from 15 yards away breh.

Charles Woodson is one of the best defensive players in NCAA football history. Dude was a beast. And of course has been amazing in the NFL. Sometimes people who are inhuman in college end up being a bust in the NFL (see: Braylon Edwards) but Woodson was always the real deal.

I'm glad he's not in the NFC North anymore :tocry

Charles is one of the greatest college football players, PERIOD, of all time.

He would make all of our jobs easier. He'd be like, I got the left side dogs. And he always did. We could literally roll our deep cover over and cheat run because nobody was getting past him.

And don't let him pick up your scraps. If he had to break off and tackle an RB/WR at the second level he'd give you this look.....I can't describe it other than it's the living version of this

Quote
Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson avoided jail time Tuesday in a plea agreement reached with prosecutors to resolve his child abuse case.

Under the agreement approved by Montgomery County state District Judge Kelly Case and announced during a scheduled court hearing, Peterson pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of reckless assault.

Case deferred a finding of guilt for two years while imposing a $4,000 fine and 80 hours of community service on Peterson.

The Vikings just might bring him back, but then again their running game has been solid in his absence.

Or another team that's trying to make a second half run, who knows.

Very well might not be, but I still say it's worth grabbing him tonight, they'll probably make an announcement later this week.

Edit: I mean, you likely know better than I, but my understanding is further punishment won't really be justifiable under the current CBA without a conviction

Andy Dalton is the new Sam Bradford. He has an average arm and doesn't respond well to 2 gap pressure. If I were playing against him I'd force green outside and take my chances that Gingerbread Greg would throw it to the quality control coach on the sideline.

What a waste of money.

Johnny to the Cowboys for a second is going to happen.

As an aside, lose like a man, people.

He's not wrong though. The Browns are a below average team (at the skill positions) that is creating a lot of turnovers and capitalizing on them. A weak schedule has helped, too.

Not that it's something to be ashamed of, there is always one team like that every year.

This is some 1988 sports analysis here.

How so?

The have the best left tackle in football, Bitonio is going to be great, the d-line is above average, sheard, kruger, and dansby are all well above average, whitner and gipson are both studs, Haden is haden, and Skrine is better than advertised.

When Gordon gets back, Cameron gets healthy, and Mingo learns how to seal a FUCKING OFF TACKLE RUNNING PLAY (ugh) they will be very dangerous.

You're not going to "luck" into 6-3 in football. Doesn't happen.

If anything your viewpoint is lacking. They suck because I think they suck only works in your head breh. They have as much talent as Baltimore and probably more than cincy.

But keep up the expert phil simms level comments please.

Records can be deceptive. The Lions are 6-2 and I wouldn't call them a particularly good team, even though the defense is allegedly the best in the league. This team's entire life depends on the d-line getting pressure on opposing QBs. When we don't get that, our weak secondary is easy to exploit. Our offense is bad, although part of that has to do with so many weapons being injured during the first half of the season. We'll get everyone back this weekend but I'm not sold on Matt Stafford making this offense look good, even with Megatron.

The Browns have a great o-line and overall have a good defense. They got through a pretty tough first half 6-3. This next half looks a lot easier. The Colts will destroy them in a couple weeks and they'll look to the Ravens on the road to end the season, but outside of that I don't see any sure-fire losses on the schedule. Atlanta? Buffalo? meh.

Well my math might be rusty but that would make them a decent team then, yes? Not a collection of bozos that toxic adam is saying they are. I mean Cleveland fans are the worst sometimes.

Avatar bet?

You give me Browns and 8 against the Colts?
