I love this guy. Seriously, I would go to war with him.

My fantasy team ended up with over 160 points (thanks based buffalo Defense) so things are gravy.

Good win for the Lions. Hopefully the Patriots can stomp the Packers on Sunday to give us control of the NFC North again. It's kind of looking like one unlucky team will win 10 games and miss the playoffs this year...really hoping to god it's not the Lions.

A part of me wants the Dolphins to just collapse instead of that.

Yea at first I thought only the NFC would have this problem but nah, AFC could easily get fucked. smh

The Seahawks will probably bury the 49ers again in a couple weeks which will ensure they can't make a last minute playoff run. Philly is scaring right now though. They look like they'll finish ahead of Dallas and if their division win % remains higher than us they'll get a higher seed. We could end up playing at Philly in a wildcard game, which would be ugly (snow+Lions being distinguished mentally-challenged on the road). Of course I shouldn't even be speculating about the playoffs, this is the Lions after all. Two seemingly easy games coming up (home against TB and Minny). We should get to 10 wins by beating them but...

Fucking Browns manage to give up 14 points in 10 goddamn seconds.

Also, Johnny Football sighting confirmed. He has a MUCH better arm that I expected...it's at least ++ compared to Hoyers.

Backups almost always look better because they are fresh (haven't been smacked around for 10+ games), have little pressure to perform and the other team hasn't gameplanned for them.

I think that's why Hoyer is struggling a bit. He's been getting banged around and teams are starting to take away what made him successful. He presses and then throws picks.

The Browns were destined to lose this game because everything they do is based off the play action. But play action only works when the defense has to respect the run.  The Bills have a top notch run defense. The fact that Joe Thomas got flagged for holding three times tells you how good that front four are.

I knew this game was going to go poorly for us, I just didn't think Hoyer would self destruct in the manner he did. I believe it's because the coaching staff is (less than) subtly moving towards Manziel and the pressure just cracked him. In addition Gordon is cutting off his routes or at times running the wrong route all together (new offense I suppose) and despite this issue Hoyer kept trying to force it into him.

As for Johnny, yup indeed coming into a game unexpectedly is going to give him an advantage no doubt. I can't speak on his leadership skills nor accurately judge his football acumen yet but I can say, as I stated, his arm is vastly superior to Hoyers.

He does seem to lock in on receivers though.

Edit: And by the look on Pettine's face I do not believe he made the call to go to Manziel, I think that call came down from Farmer or maybe even Haslem himself. He looked very irritated. On the other side, Shanahan seemed to already have plays drawn up for Johnny because I don't recall Hoyer running a lot of naked bootlegs...ever.

Romo put up 3 points.
Julius Thomas was out.
Still won my game.

#2 seed, but we have an 8 team playoff (14 team league) so no bye weeks on my end.
Just means I take on the 7 seed.

Had 3 RBs in the lineup.
CJ Anderson, Matt Forte, Rashard Jennings.
Who would have known that of the 3, Forte would give me the LEAST points.

I'll say you'll get a lion's ransom for the #1 pick dude. I'm thinking swap 1's this year, get 1 from next year, probably a 2 both years, and a 3rd rounder next.

Leonard Williams would make sense at #1 for Oakland. Him and Mack on the d-line could be insane. I could see the Giants wanting to trade up to get Mariota; Manning has to be done.

I'd keep Carr, he doesn't look terrible but is fucked by not having much talent around him. Maybe trade down and get Amari Cooper. How is Oakland's o-line though?

Can't argue with this at all.

As for my brownies and their 2 first rounders (thanks buffalo)

As it will be later in the round I say we get a nice ILB or Defensive end and David Funchess

Gordon, Funchess, Hawkins, and Cameron...If Maziel can't go for 4,000 yards and 30 td's between those four then trade him to the Cowboys for a 2nd.

:lawd

What we lack right now (ignoring the fact we have no Tight Ends and are on our 4th string center) is height at WR and depth on our Line/ILB's. I think Sheard and Mingo are fine for Sam and Will and that Robertson probably profiles better as an outside backer than the role he's playing now.

I'm not worried about Gilbert, CB's take a while to get developed, and Skrine and Haden are solid.

I suppose we could probably use more depth at offensive line and possibly someone WHO CAN RETURN FUCKING KICKS too.
