Fascinating. The @NFL will host on March 22 in AZ the first ever NFL Veteran Combine, according to a memo sent today. It’s for veterans FAs.

 :ohhh Not a bad idea.

Damn, what an outstanding idea. BRB going to the combine to post my 5.5 40, 10 inch vertical, and 4 foot long jump. I should be a starting WR on the Raiders by spring.

Great idea. Every year there are so many vets signed who seem like "camp bodies" but they turn into good starters or reserve players. The Lions d-line was full of guys like that in 2014. George Johnson went from team to team until landing with the Lions and turning out to be a pretty good DE.

This puts a lot of pressure on Meyer and his new OC.  If they don't start Jones (who I think SHOULD BE the starter now), they'll get ridiculed for not starting a draft-ready QB.

But man, all three of those QBs are gonna get drafted in the first two rounds when they decide to come out.  That's crazy.

Just goes to show you that Urban must be promising (and delivering) on crazy shit like hush hush orgies, cars, salaries, whatever when he's out recruiting. Don't worry, I'm sure we'll find out about it all the year after he resigns due to health reasons.

He reminds me more of Byron Leftwich. Who could have had a solid NFL career if it wasn't derailed by constant injuries.

Could not be any father from reality. He's a good, humble, and intelligent kid. He gave an excellent 5 minute press conference on why he was staying in school for the education and that he knows he's not assured to be a starter next year.

Although I think he should have went out I applaud the kid for his decision.

Yea, I guess that's why the Roethlisburger comparisons are more apt. But, I think Jones has a better arm than Ben (does) did.

I concur. That kid puts zip on the ball. He threw a 40+ yarder against BAMA that never went more than 6 feet off the ground. I have only seen 4 guys my entire life that can do that.

Favre

Jones' education comments are interesting. He's the same guy who said "going to class is pointless" in 2012, which stirred some problems. Good to see he has changed his mind. It could all be PR or course but I hope the young man realizes football isn't forever and since he has a young daughter he has matured.

I wonder who he keeps. I'd say Bryant.

It's almost certainly gonna be Bryant. Apparently Jerrah only wants to pay Murray 4 years $14 million, someone's gonna offer him way more than that.

I don't think Jones ever planned to keep Murray. He's wanted Adrian Peterson for half a decade, Peterson is a Cowboys fan...I think Jones will sign him for a short term vet deal. Peterson will look great behind that o line and will get a larger deal later.

It's a fake account, but the first tweet is something Jones actually tweeted back in 2012.

The anal ownage that the Green bay Packers took is historic.
The Seahawks QB had a QBR of 0 & 3 INT in the 1st half.

The game was over, but the Packer collapsed BIG.
