Yea obviously the guy who punched him is the main idiot but Geno deserves some blame here too. He got suckerpunched but nah...a leader of a team doesn't get in that position. smh

In addition the vets on the team failed. Somebody knew this was coming or the potential for a fight was coming and did nothing to prevent it. We had a similar issue with a WR and a RB when I was playing. The vets on the team made it very clear nobody was going to fight anywhere but on the field (where this is encouraged actually because it can be broken up quickly), and they would always step between them any time they seemed to be getting close to each other. (The WR was a star, the RB was cut, fyi). It was over a girl too, smfh.
YMMV

btw just heard a CBS Sports update on the radio that claimed it wasn't a suckerpunch, it was a direct shot while they were face to face.

I can assure you nobody would punch Tom Brady, or Peyton Manning, or Andrew Luck, or any of the other top tier NFL QB's. This is a direct example of why Gino Smith is a failure as a leader of his team. Trust me.

Remember the stories about Golden Tate banging Russell Wilson's ex-wife? Did Russell get punched? No. That's a lot worse than $600!

right side of the o-line is sus, left side is beast doe. new center was a big upgrade. offense overall will be much improved. even if musgrave is still the same old musgrave, he's still better than olson.

Defense could use more depth at DE and maybe too green at cb, but del rio da god and norton should have them playing mean.

Basically any of the interesting guys on offense didn't get dressed and Brady's gonna get murdered because he insists to play behind a second string line.

Was actually gonna bring it up in a few days, might as well do it now. How many people would be interested in a league? I'd love to get more than six people/teams.

I'm assuming we'll use Yahoo again.

NFL season starts September 10th. I'd love to have the draft on the Sunday before the season starts (September 6th) or a week before that (August 30th). And if another date works for most of us we could do that instead.

I can just recreate the previous league and send out invites to people who want to play that were in it before. 30th works better for me for draft dates, but if the 6th is better for everyone else that's fine.

How is everyone feeling about their squad?

The big Lions offseason news was the loss of Suh to the Dolphins but honestly I don't think defense will determine our destiny this year; IMO we'll still stop the run, the secondary is better than last year, we bring back some good folks from injury, etc. To me the major story is Matt Stafford and whether he can take that next step at QB. If the offense can be as good as it looks on paper we'll be really good. If Stafford continues to be inconsistent we'll be average to bad.

Megatron is healthy for the first time in a couple years, Abdullah is gonna be good, the o-line should be better than last year, Tate is gonna be Tate, Eric Ebron seems to be putting things together....it could be a really explosive offense. In fact it should be. There's no excuse not to put up big numbers with these weapons.

Washington fan, so...

Racist name
Horrible owner
Two and a half decades of being trash
Head coach nobody thinks is that good
Constant coaching/front office drama
Delusional fanbase
Bad defense
QB looking to squander the tiny remains of goodwill from his rookie season three years ago

Not great, Bob!

A bit worried by the Kam hold out and some of the defensive turnover. Also scared at another year of having a garbage o-line.

Then again last year we had no returners, no wide receivers, lots of defensive turnover and a garbage o line and were a play away from winning two straight Super Bowls soooo.
