Taylor Decker. OT so I'm fine with the pick. Really good run blocker, seems like a hard worker. Mixed reactions from Lions bloggers I follow but no one hates the pick. It's not the sexy choice, especially given that Shaq Lawson was still on the board.

Some really good DTs are left on the board, I'm hoping one falls to us tomorrow. Both Alabama DTs are still available.

It's so weird to have an NFL team again. Unlike the Lakers, Dodgers and Kings, I don't really have any emotional attachment to them. They're like a football version of the Clippers to me.

Goff looks good though. I could see myself becoming a fan.

He's either going to be a really good top 10 QB or a great system quarterback. Not a bad pick, I like his upside over Wentz.

Ha ha you know why that's funny because that basically was what the Dolphins were known for in the late 90's. Cocaine and weed was easy to find in that locker room. Hell the visiting teams even partook.

titans back at it again with the bland picks  :maf

im playing. we needed shit everywhere and we still do. build from the trenches out after you get a QB right?
hopefully Conklin can block worth a shit and #ProtectMariota.
Demarco & Henry should be a good combo. get Sankey tf outta town. everybody knew that was a garbage pick even back then.
i don't know anything about the safety we drafted.
DT pick was surprising. I would've taken A'Shawn in that spot if you have to pick that position but thats just me.

i guess we go into the season with with DGB, Wright and Justin Hunter as our top 3 receivers? not terrible but not great either.

im still kinda tight about us keeping Mularkey. don't really know what they saw in those games he coached to sell them on his vision. cause i didn't see shit. and he's never been worth a shit as a head coach anywhere else.

in short im encouraged but i remain unconvinced

Yep, love the Conklin pick but lukewarm to clueless on the rest.

Mariota is for real, though, which is why I really like them taking Conklin. Half the reason Carr has excelled in Oakland as a rookie is because their O-line gave him enough protection to develop his play rather than constantly dying to pass rush.

Titans' WRs are pretty weak tho lol. But it's a process and they're trending in the right direction. If I were a Titans fan this is the most hopeful I'd be in like a decade.

And Mike Mularkey is indeed trash lol. I can't explain that one. Tallest midget available?

Solid day for the Lions. Nothing sexy. I like A'Shawn Robinson, dude is a man. Good luck running against Ngata, Robinson, Ziggy, and Levy brehs.
:lawd

Third round pick, Glasgow from Michigan, was ranked as the 2nd or 3rd best center in the draft so I'm not mad. I think he can beat out our current center, who had a bad season last year. Decker and Glasgow improve the line. Big, strong dudes who are perfect for the power block scheme I assume we'll be running.

This draft has been all about the trenches so far. I like it. Hoping we can get a decent safety next, and LB depth. Also wouldn't mind a WR. Hell, I'd also like more OL/DL focus as well. Beef both lines up, let's fucking go.

The Browns draft will get some heat but they needed them grunts. Can't build a ship on a weak foundation.

I'm having issues with the QB they picked,Kessler, but I'll defer to Hue's magic mind on that one.

some people losing it over connor cook :lol

Why? Because apparently Cook is a bad guy.

Not bad in the smoke a bong connected to a gas mask, receive illegal benefits while in college sort of way. For Laremy Tunsil of Ole Miss, that merely meant a drop to No. 13 overall in the first round.

Great third option. Man...we have so many weapons. Gonna be real interesting to see how this plays out, specifically the o-line. If they keep Stafford clean the offense could be very fucking effective. Jones and Tate on the outside, Boldin and Ebron inside. Plus you have Riddick and Abdullah in the backfield who are YAC monsters.

Still don't think we make the playoffs though.

everything im reading about mularkey terrifies me. how did this fool get the permanent job after the crap he put up as the interim.

Quote
But ability doesn’t always translate into results. And so as the Titans embark on a crucial stretch for the former no. 2 overall draft pick on the eve of his second professional season, coach Mike Mularkey has forged a bold plan: In an age when seemingly everyone wants to be cutting edge, the Titans and their modern-age quarterback aren’t going to be particularly innovative offensively. And that’s by design.

“I’m going to do the things that I’ve had success with since 2001, and I will continue to do that until someone stops us,” said Mularkey, who served as the Titans’ interim head coach for part of the 2015 season and is now their full-time boss. Statistics show that NFL teams are passing more than ever, with teams throwing an average of 20 percent more yards in 2015 than they did in 2005. But Mularkey has no intention of adjusting his offense to fit that new reality, or indeed even accepting that there is a new reality: “I know people say this is a passing league,” Mularkey said. “I’ll argue with that.”

I can't handle having the Rams back and it's only preseason. This fucking team left us holding our dicks / tits after decades of playing here because their owner was Rachel Phelps irl and no one would cough up public money. Now all these sad fucks here are rocking Rams gear. Fuck that noise, and fuck that fucking gigolo Stan Kroenke for making this living hell a reality.

At least St. Louis will be paying off ~140 million dollars of public debt on a stadium that hosts nothing more impressive than concerts and tractor pulls while their city continues to circle the drain. Trust other people brehs.

“I think the league is in a downward spiral regarding their obligations to the public under (Commissioner) Roger Goodell," added Johnson, "and this is just another example of that."
