Wow I really suck at Spelunky
Everyone sucks at Spelunky. When you finally git gud at The Mines, you'll suck at The Jungle, and so on.

It is a humbling game.

Beating Hell in Spelunky is one of my greatest gaming achievements, ever. The challenge is absurd to even see the Hell stages. Hundreds of hours practice to get there  :'(

Guess I suck at wwe2k16 too. Playing one on one match against John Cena as Stone Cold waiting for the full download and just getting rocked over and over. Rage quit

The tutorial is ass. You have to look up the manual online.

Also button mashing doesn't work so basically WTF.

Got the hang of it, I was trying to base my counters off when the symbol popped up instead of when the strikes were landing -- and Cena just kinda throws weird punches

One of September's GWG titles for Xbox One - Earthlock: Festival of Magic (remember this game from Kickstarter?)

Super Mega Baseball is cool but it having no online play kills the game.

I already own I Am Alive, the only 360 game worth mention in October.

Updated OP.

I'll bag September's and October's titles for my eventual Xbone purchase. Thanks for the reminder!

I hated how limited the customization was on PC. It was fun sort of re-creating my rec league team.

I Am Alive was one of the best games on the 360 imo. You can tell the development was shaky but its a really cool adventure and truly a "survival" game, it's easier on the 2nd playthrough if youre going for collecitibles as they come with food/ammo iirc.  Nothing but awesome memories of the game, uses similar Ubi tech to ass crud in terms of the climbing, difference is the climbing really matters here. I'd recommend checking it out

I'd love to convert my copy of Burnout Paradise City to digital but, when it's previously been on sale, EA has blocked non-US IP addresses from purchase completion, even though I've got a US 360 and US XBL account.

Another month, another batch of XBLA games I already own and have the crisp 200/200G under my belt.

I really enjoyed Outland, it had this soothing tribal blowjob music

Still the best soothing videogame blowjob tune

Never got around to clocking my borrowed copy of Rayman so that's a sweet game to look forward to.

The Cave is one of those Flashback/Oddworld kinda games from what I heard? Worth playing?

Was totally willing to pay full price for Killer Instinct at launch but the piece-meal payment model and digital only was an immediate turn-off.

Holy shit, Heavy Weapon -- isn't that an XLBA "launch window" era game?

I will forever remember Kayne and Lynch as the game that got Jeff Gerstmann fired.

What a shitty game to have inexorably tied to your name :rofl

I'm pretty sure that Gerstmann was fired for his review of the original Kane and Lynch game.

Anyhow I downloaded K&L2 as it was free and C grade tps was my bread and butter back in the day. Holy shit does this game stink. The maps and enemy placement/movements are OK, the weapons in this game are beyond awful. Shotguns are crazy accurate and effective over long distances, but you get limited access to these and you're forced to use machine pistols over the first couple of levels, which basically involve hiding in cover and shooting 200 rounds to kill one baddie. Really poor and unsatisfying gameplay.

Best part of the game is the shaky digital camera style they went for, its truly pretty unique and a fun game world to manouvre through, and it also band-aids shitty texture pop in by making it "intentional". I've never played a game that masked it's technical shortcomings by a stylistic choice and I have to say its pretty cool. Video game historians may mention this one as some throwback chic someday

 Oops, you're right! :omg

Wasn't K&L2 liked more than the original? Surprised the compression artifacts and color separation effects weren't cloned by other games. It was a pretty unique visual effect for the time.

I just tried downloading K&L2, but it's region-locked from purchase. Also, MS updated their site so that Xbone store purchases are region-detecting, so it shifts me to the Japanese Xbox Store auto-sucking-magically.  :maf
