Can I just say how much I hate Nintendo for not allowing a universal screenshot option? They won't let you take screenshots in certain 3DS titles. It's...

Both the WiiU and the XBone suck ass with screenshots. The  WiiU you have to email the screens to you and they're silly low res, and the Xbone just straight doesn't have the option yet (or didn't in Dec). Fucking sucks reviewing games for either of them.

It's not even WiiU! It's 3DS! You'd think them allowing it via Miiverse even in offline mode would be possible. But apparently not. And if you got the "free DLC" for a certain title I'm playing it completely shuts off that option and "offline" workaround.

That's not even to get into the whole stupid argument about screenshots having to go through Miiverse to even be "archieved" for you to post elsewhere (Twitter/Facebook/Imgur...). It's pissing me off. I wanted to take a few screenshots like I can on Vita but I can't.

Final Fantasy as a series is so diverse that one person's favorite can boggle someones mind and vice versa. I really dig FF VII, FFX, FFX-2, and Lightning Returns. But if you put FF VIII in front of me, It'll make me want to nap.

FFX at number 1 

Bestest Final Fantasy. Tidus doesn't actually whine that much, Tidus and his dad's relationship is a helluva lot more relatable than most JRPG relationships, Seymour is a simple but awesome antagonist, awesome cast or party variety, best soundtrack in the series, fun concept that is paced beautifully, Auron, Wakka throwing balls as his main attack, combat being simple and fast, hard and tense boss fights, world that feels interesting to be in, beautiful art design.

Got some bad news for you on that, during the livestream where they demo'd EU4: El Dorado a few days ago they mentioned that they are currently not working on any 'Victoria-related projects', also nothing Rome-related. Who knows what's next after HoI4 though . I certainly wouldn't mind a new Victoria at least, Vicky 2 was amazing.

When it comes to FF7, there was a time when people games media + gamers would always put it in the conversation of GOAT. As time went on, it seems the FF7 reverence got lower and lower.

VII is a good game make no mistake. It just hasn't aged well. The terrible localization. The inconsistent visuals. The overhype. It has a lot going against it.

It feels like a lot of ambitious "video game medium pushing" games of the PS1 have lost that reverence. Maybe because they all seem so silliy in today's climate, but that's because what they were doing back then has been better refined.

Agreed. Now that most of the hyperbole has faded, I still consider 7 among my faves. It's a pretty goofy game that really doesn't take itself seriously for good portions. A remake would most likely strip it of all that charm and replicate the Dirge of Cerberus/Advent Children animu garbage. At least Vagrant Story/FFT/FF9 is looked at better retrospectively.

Also not an RTS, but offworld trading company (by Soren Johnson) while still being pretty early, is also interesting and could turn out real good. No combat in it though, it's purely an economic rts.
