Vita is terrible even if you like Japanese games. Bork's list reads like a thirsty man in the desert, with the Vita's library being camel pooped rain water. You'll take it because it's the only thing there.
I mean I love Japaneese games and here are the kind of Japanese games I liked on the PSP-
The Third Birthday, Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core, Metal Gear Solid PW(well not really, but bare with me), Tactics Orge, Birth By Sleep, Valkyrie Chronicles 3, The LAst Ranker, Grand Knights Historia, varios Falcom titles, Mega Man Mavrix Hunter X, and so on. That's not even counting all the quailty ports the system recived. Speaking of ports, thats what makes up the Vita's libary.
It's pretty telling that Persona 4(An enhanced port) is the best jrpg on the system. Here's most of the jrpgs on the vita in America.
Sword Art Online: Lost Song, Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy, Hyperdevotion Noire Goddess Black Heart ,Tales of Heart R, Muramasa Rebirth, FFX, Valhalla Knights 3, Natural Doctrine, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation, Demon Gaze, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1,Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters, Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars, Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Mind Zero, Criminal Girls Invite Only, and whatever other crap NIS and IF put out.
I'm sorry, that's not a compelling list at all. It's filled with low budget, un-ambitious, and otaku bait crap. No one would give a fuck about these games during the PS2 days when things like Valkyrie Profile 2, Grandia 3, Shadow Hearts, Suikoden, Wild Arms, and so on came out. When we had actual jrps by developers who tried actually making shit. Shit that did'nt have to put boobs and and panties in your face as part of market research.
Hell, you did'nt have to care about these kids of titles on the PSP when you also had tons of high quailty projects made for it. Whats on the Vita is cheap stuff. Oh I'm so happy that it's best games are games I can already play on multiple systems. Wheres the ton of unique high quialty content?

Yes, if I want my rpgs to feel like the developers just slapped together some anime girls and called it a day. Never mind that none of those titles even come close to b-tier ps2 stuff.

Oh great, crappy ports and luckluster efforts made years ago. How about now. You know the part about being a gaming enthusiast means I actually play games and would like a steady stream of them. Hopefully also new.
Yes, the Vita has games in the definition of there being actual stuff. It's hardly compelling stuff though.
