And yet Ubisoft insists a feudal Japan AC is not a good idea due to being too much of a "been there, done that" in videogames which I strongly disagree with.

I don't remember a game (linear or open world) where I play a realistic ninja assassin in a realistic depiction of a historically accurate feudal Japan.

But, unless they shoehorn it, it would probably mean the main character would have to be Asian (I'd kill for a japanese kunoichi) and Ubisoft will probably not want to have anything to do with a non white main character.

To be fair: Ubisoft's dismissal of Japan is kinda stupid when they're doing Europe again after Rome/Italy and Constantinople. They still haven't done a Asian Assassin's Creed outside of that 2D Platformer-thingy in China.
