This is just a disaster for European economy. American foods in general are much more mass-produced (larger scale) and lower taxating, meaning if they open the market right now, the EU food industry will collapse because of the crisis + impossible to stand against (with our vastly different regulations) american competitions. This world is fucked, megacorporations hold all the power already and we can't do shit about it. The concentration of money is driving us toward of a governement of the corporations, and most people don't see problems with this, accusing opposers of being socialist commies and anti-free market nutjobs.
