go back and play morrowind on the xbox and edit your post. shit was :paul

No it wasn't. It was basically the base PC version without mods. Even then you could mod the X-box version with various binaries of "mods" on PC IIRC. I played the vanilla AND Game of the Year edition on X-box and beat the main story no problem outside of the size-file bloat that is the same shit the PS3 version had.

Is the PC version better? Yes, definitely. But Beth's console ports have gone downhill since the original Morrowind X-box release.

So, my girlfriend has never seen the Star Wars movies and everyone including her own family call her out on this all the time. We've been dating for 5 years and I know it sounds silly but as a big movie buff, it's kind of annoying me inside that she has seen Fifty Shades of Grey twice but not a single Star Wars film. She thinks they're sic-fi but they're actually adventure films to me (action, humor, drama) so I KNOW she'll love them.

She has finally agreed to watch them (out of sheer pity) but with a lot of negativity towards it and will only watch a couple of them for now. So I'm not showing her the prequels first because I'm worried she'll be turned off and wonder what all the hype was about but I'm also worried she's going to be turned off after seeing A New Hope.

Now, what if I were to edit ANH down to say 20-40 minutes so she understands the main characters, their motivations and the general ideas behind the series. That way, her first couple of movies can technically be Empire and Jedi. Basically, I want her to get to Empire as soon as possible then have a blast with Jedi.

What scenes should I keep in A New Hope? Important plot that only pertains to that film alone isn't needed. Also, is it a good idea? Is there a chance if I showed her Episode 4 in it's entirety, she'd say no to watching Empire? I had to vent about this.

no i will not let this happen. it controlled like dook, looked like dook, ran like dook.

Controlled is a matter of taste.
Looked was always dook, even on PC.
Ran? No, dear. You're wrong. There was no frame dips (IIRC) and the loading of the "cells" while frequent were pretty snappy for the time and actually didn't have that "slowdown" issue that the PS3 verisons of Beth titles do.

The major problem with the X-box Morrowind was that as save size got bigger a chance of some items being deleted in your "house" was possible to be done.

(Image removed from quote.)

When I was very young (2-3) I would pick up the landline phone in my house, mash on the keypad, and yell, "mommy, I call Hong Kong," with the self-assurance only a child can possess. The thing to take away from this (besides how bizarre I've always been) is that to my impressionable young mind, Hong Kong was the ends of the Earth despite the fact that it's not, not even back then.

Today I was suffering through yet another KUSC donation spiel and the host was talking about how people all over the world make use of the station. They then proceeded to name places your average cretin would recognize, then they paused and reached for the most unbelievable place they could think of and Hong Kong is what came out of their mouth and I of course remembered what I lead this story off with as soon as they said it.

I mean how many threads on GAF are there about how gaming journalism is a mess?  Does saying gaming journos are dumb makes you a gamegater now? Or is this guy a gamegater? I mean to me, I just don't really understand the role of journos for console gaming in today's day and age.  What am I missing?

Gamergate is long gone and there are still people harping over that shit on the gaming side.  No one cares about GG anymore.

i don't get it; what's the big deal? so you got in a shady situation in a foreign country and took a cash L? can't you just laugh it off after the fact? I mean, it has got to feel kinda good in one sense to lose thousands and brush it off when it would crush most people... but to be that sensitive about it years later?  ???

I drunkenly gave some dude $40 for weed in vegas a couple years ago and got a bag of hedge trimmings lol. who cares.
