Here's what I did for BF4 on launch:

1) Put DVD [since I pre-ordered physically for the boxart because I'm a taco] into DVD drive
2) Click install
3) Switch DVD's when asked
4)
5) PLAY BF4

If I wanted to do it via Origin since I can due to my CD-key:

1) Open Origin (if installed)
2) Click install
3) ? [downloading]
4) PLAY BF4!

Same shit as the PS4. Just faster to do depending on 1) connection speed or 2) DVD read speed which can be upgraded on PC.

Of course PC gamers are smarter than console gamers. It takes intelligence to afford way more than a console for a system that you'll have to upgrade every two years lest it goes obsolete and to fix all those driver issues and compatibility settings. Obviously duh.
