GitS didn't get unbearable with the Zizek tier philosophy until season 1 of Stand Alone Complex ( back off you nerds).

Thankfully 2nd Gig delivered us from evil with some vanilla socio-political jockeying while The Matrix went further down the rabbit hole.

The PS2 got RE4 because it got more money paying adults which if you're Capcom, is who you're really loyal to. I mean nearly any game series would sell better on PS2 than GCN just because there were like 5 times the consoles sold.

My problem is that back in the Golden Days of Youtube people use to make a ton of cool content about video games and so on. But now everyone is too busy trying to get people to watch their Let's Plays and trying to establish a career in playing video games.
"Smosh has a new video! Oh it's just them advertising for their let's play..."

It's sickening, and I still don't understand why people enjoy watching people play video games. I always hear that they are entertaining. So am I, so pick up a damm controller and play with me.

I consider it very sad, people will rather watch someone play games then play them themselves. Then I see these flashing lights of people playing games begging for money, probably not having any life goals once they realize they can't sustain a career playing video games for the rest of their lives, or if their beauty/talent dries up do to old age, health from doing nothing but playing video games, and the likes.

Granted, this is still a very new job/career that has recently blew up in recent years. So who knows how this may evolve or even effect our world. But it still baffles me just how much time people waste watching other people play games. Twitch Plays Pokemon was actually fun because it was a fusion of watching and playing. Competitive sports (although I hate it) I understand that people like seeing people becoming professionals playing their favorite games and even learning from them. There are some things I understand, but things like Markipler and Pewtiepie I frown down upon because all they do is scream in a mic have millions of viewers and get paid greatly because people are... Watching this?

Come on just pick up a game and play it, enjoy it with friends, make friends to play it with. Isn't that the point? To be even too lazy to play a video game is worse then sitting down on a couch watching football because your too lazy to play it.

I kinda agree, though I respect the hustle. Hate every single streaming personality I've ever subjected myself to, though. Except ZeRo from Smash Bros and I only watch him for the technical know-how.
