There's a guy at work who's name is Arpit. I practically break out into a sweat every time I have to say his name to make sure I don' t call him armpit.

You know what's trash?

The idiot driving in front of me on the way to work who threw out an entire bag of mcdonalds through her car window, fat whore. That shit pissed me off. I am not a hippie dippie environmentalist but goddamnit how hard is it to take your bag that was previously full of McMuffin's and throw that shit away at work/home?

Furikake on rice is for children anyway. Adults generally do not do it. Yukari is a different story, for whatever reason. Most adults use pickles to flavor their rice -- and most kids don’t like pickles. So I guess that’s the division.

I like furikake, for what it’s worth.

Could have fooled me!   :lol  I saw that practice used all the time in Ishikawa.  My wife likes to put furikake on her rice too.

I'm sorry but as a non-japanofile I must say that furikake sounds like something that happens during a comic con.

Maybe furry bukkake?

The funny thing is "bukkake " just means "heaped on," so it's common to see on menus. I laugh still when I see "bukkake udon."

Bork, all I can say is I've lived here 15 years, and my local experience is that it's mainly for kids. There are plenty who like it as adults, and it may be regional.

There was a thread on GAF a few days ago about a guy whose cat kept sleeping on his legs, cutting off circulation. Well I let my cat sleep on my bed last night and I'm pretty sure she fucked up my leg. I have a spot right under my knee that feels sore as hell, like circulation was cut off.

I really like how rage inducing this thing is. I mean I'm kind of about it for reasons not pertinent to this post, but the fact that its existence is almost like trolling is extremely appealing. You even troll yourself in the process, so it's perhaps the most efficient form of trolling known to humanity. :omg

Not too big honestly. I'll weigh her when I get back. She tends to sleep in one spot for hours so it seems possible. I can't think of anything else that could have caused it.

Lots of things can cause that, most are harmless IE/Not enough fluids before sleep, improper diet, aggravated mild strain, etc.

Also is a sign of diabetes  :yeshrug

Y'know, I call that topping "bukkake" all the time.  It's childish, just like furikake apparently hyuck hyuck!

Must be a regional thing.  Things are weird in Kansai.   :P  Although they do make regular and children's furikake and oh my that sounds dirty now, thanks bore.

Got acknowledged by the presenter in a work training today for using a "really awesome looking" fountain pen. In front of a huge group of people, most I don't know. Most embarrassing shit ever.

I LIKE PENS SHUT UP.

She didn't even know I had a calligraphy nib on it TO TAKE FUCKING NOTES. Oh my god I'm such a loser and my coworkers are enablers.

Oh my man.

I have a ton of little marker/felt tip pens, like Stabilo, so I usually offer those first.

My jetpens wish list... I already have my child's first fountain pen picked out. She drools over my marker pens already.

I buy pens n such from a local shop, which the owner thinks is so nice he always acts like he's an old family friend when he sees me out and about in the world. And that happens often enough that I would die from anxiety if I ever stopped shopping there.

again, :stahp

It's Saint Patrick's day in Dublin on Tuesday

You are now a directions guide for tourists because you have a "friendly face" and almost end up late for college

They ignore you after you tell them the pub they are going to is awful and overpriced anyway

All the pubs in the city are packed when you try get an after class drink so you give up

The pint quality dives across the nation because the bartenders don't even have to try

Shitty trad coming out of the pub anyway

Then you get the flu symptoms on the bus back and cant drink when you get back home anyway or the weekend

Is é an streachailt fíor :stahp

The cac market where I get my kefir and kombucha from BECAUSE THEY'RE DELICIOUS NOT BECAUSE I THINK VACCINES CAUSE AUTISM :hans1 has a small staff because it's a small market. Place is a living room with a business license and unsecured property tax liabilities.

This means that the same person rings up 90% of my fermented beverage purchases, and I am always dressed unprofessionally when this happens because if I ain't seeing a client I ain't wearing anything that wouldn't give mac an aneurysm. Well today I went there dressed to the four-and-a-halves after a meeting and I could tell how profoundly I had disappointed the Cherryl Brooks to my James Taggart who rings up 90% of my fermented beverage purchases. In the back of my mind I could practically hear her thinking, "Eww, I bet you drive a German import sedan too."

good to see she's ok, and yeah, babies and sickness make you freak the fuck out. for example, last week I was picking my daughter up and she started screaming nonstop, turns out I pulled her elbow out of joint (apparently a very common thing), and it took all of 10 seconds of bending her arm to fix it up, but I still felt like a monster for the rest of the day  :(

Dealing with the baby is critical. Unfortunately, dealing with a pregnant woman is a different tier of commitment, which largely is masochistic. Wife pregnant with our first child was the most stress our marriage has faced to-date.

Asking honestly, not calling you out: How did you deal with your pregnant wife?

There is scientific proof that mothers’ memories about the pain of childbirth are dulled after-the-fact. Maybe the same thing happens to both parents? :lol
