And after a short while my stake becomes sizable enough to get the mandatory management fee.
Which is about 35% more than I'm making now.
Word of advice. I bluffed my way into this business as a 'junior designer' about 6 years ago who had finished an IT bachelor but couldn't design for shit but had learned a thing or two about Photoshop and Javascript.
Stuck around because my first project got an AWWWARDS nomination. Which was kind of a big thing still back then.
Within a year I was junior project manager and kept going until I got the COO job about a year and a half ago. Back then I commanded about 5 people, the team now stands at 15.
In short, aim high and don't think you can't do something because it seems daunting. Once you get 'up' in there you figure out that none of the people are actually more competent than the wage slaves. They're just more willing to take risks and take responsibility.
