Finally completed my doctoral dissertation explaining the intricacies of the various relationships and timelines present in the hit 90's sitcom Blossom by comparing them to early-20th century Marxist revolutionaries.

Woke up after sleeping something like 4 hours because I worked late.

Remarked how fresh I felt despite this.

Got out of bed even though there was no logical reason.

Took medication with names out of cyberpunk novels that cost too much with a warm bottle of nutrient gruel.

Decided to be an unprofessional asshole and not shave or wear closed toe shoes because it's a deadline day and I can get away with shit like that.

Swapped a Richard Strauss album out of the CD player for a TSOL one.

Ate dinner for breakfast / brunch.

Went to work on books for a company whose owner I consider the most offensive member of the bourgeoisie who's ever paid me.

Rolled my eyes out of my head at the moronic tactics the shit eating members of the American proletariat at this company engage in to avoid paying tax, then reminded myself that the tax code already hands these cretins a variety things they'll never work their way out of needing or adjusting their lifestyles to no longer need.

Spoiled a miniature schnauzer with affection. :3

Wrote a vapid day in the life of Karakand Denisovich post.

Wondered why people thought I went to coffee shops regularly enough to be stereotyped as going to them regularly.

Was smoking in a parking garage owned by the city that I only park in because it's free on Sundays even though it had a sign posted not 15 feet away saying no smoking allowed because it seemed to me the least offensive place to smoke in public. A security guard rode by on a bicycle during this and gave me the stink eye as I was smoking not 15 feet away from a no smoking sign but the only emotion I felt was mild amusement that the guard was riding on Trek's specialty model for police officers, a rent-a-cop riding one of these being so utterly predictable that it hurts.

Strung together 6 polysyllabic words in a sentence.

I have a thing for one of the servers at my Sunday hang (she's alt QT as fvck) and I had drunk a little too much when she informed me that they were now out of one of the liquors that made up my cocktail, but if I wanted I could replace it with either rosé or PBR at no extra charge which elicited a huge cornball grin from me and the response, "Wow... that's quite the dichotomy." :snoop

I'm the anti-Vularai; I spent the morning helping people pronounce somewhat pedestrian words.

It's probably not worth telling the story, but raison d'ętre is a phrase even I was raised to think pretentious. Since my parents called my friends agents provocateur, I have subsequently hypothesized that this phrase was some KGB codeword they didn't want me to use by mistake and draw the attention of our handler(s?). Occam's razor and all that.
