I'm super sick and have a paper deadline at the end of the month. Like I have shat out like 4L of water today. I have gotten sick like once ever 2 months for 3 years.

Basically, she's got the signs of a poor manager who doesn't know how to deal with people. Nothing you can do but smile, roll your eyes, and report when it gets really crazy.

Appreciate it, guys. It was seriously killing me to be ~~working with this woman~~ doing almost everything and getting treated like shit and I cannot believe how much better I have been feeling since last week. Actually having fun at work again!

Yeah read it too, but there's not a lot you can do in that kind of structure except hang on and wait for shit managers to get their come uppance (which may or may not arrive).

I don't have this kind of issues at work but we're still in the slump of the company being bought and activity in my department is a shallow as ever. They struggle to give us a week's work every month, which is the bare minimum I need to do over the year to keep my special unemployment benefits (which are super good). I was just granted them, so I'm OK money wise for the next 8 months even if I work not a single day but it's kind of shitty nonetheless. Permanent employees also feeling the burn with the night shift being axed... Our dept. activity is reliant on a single major contract that is still up in negociations and could stay so until June $:-\$

Been scouting opportunities elsewhere but my branch is super specialized and there's not a lot of potential employers in Europe. Would probably settle for something related if possible to keep the hours flowing in.

Its slowly getting better though. The worst was the nausea and that went away a few days ago and its mostly likely either food poising or a very bad flu, either of which cant be helped by a doctor.

I keep having sup fucked up dreams though. Last night I dreampt I was rebel leader fleeing from getting captured and I hid in a cave/crevice and they found me and killed me by forcing my men to sqeeze into the hole so I couldnt get out or move and then shot them.

My research data came out with really unequal groups. Basically impossible (and unethical) do to any comparisons or statistics between the groups. Has turned into a descriptive trial and lost a chance at being published in a bigger journal

Paid $1200 to a dealership for minor computer problem that controls the steering lock on my car. Would be a few hundred to fix at an independent shop but apparently only dealerships have the right software...

Yep, I had planned to cauterize it, but I didn't have enough gunpowder with me at that moment. So I took apart one of my boot laces for the string and used a paper clip from the screw off end of my Rambo knife for the needle.
