That title change is juvenile and cruel. It is nearly impossible to discuss the Vita on this forum. Why is this allowed to happen? Why is it mod sanctioned? There are a lot of Vita enthusiasts on NeoGAF who cannot have threads or conversations because people can't resist the low hanging fruit.

Like, news flash, people love their Vitas. People buy A LOT of games for their Vitas. People are waiting a year to play Axiom Verge because they can't imagine playing it on anything but their Vita.

Vita is not dead. Vita is different. If you can't appreciate what makes it different, or if that difference doesn't interest you, that's great. But you don't have to make fun of our favorite system. You don't have to diminish our enthusiasm. You don't have to make uncontextualized claims about it. The Vita is supported by an extremely passionate install base that creates and consumes fantastic games.

Now we have yet another thread that serves no purpose beyond making a laughing stock out of Vita fans. Because there is apparently never enough of these. But hey, ha ha, lighten up. It's just a joke.

Never mind that EVERY SINGLE THREAD that even mentions the Vita goes like this. Somebody says Vita is dead, or has no games, or is only for hentai, and all the Vita fans groan and say this is not true. Then the persecutors say Vita fans need to learn to take a joke. Then fans complain they can't even say the word "Vita" without being lambasted and ask why every thread has to be this way.

But rather than prevent this incessant cycle, it appears to be encouraged instead. Because Vita fans are easy targets and fuck them, right?

System's been dead for like two years now. Indies are the only saving grace for the system if you're wanting to pay the "portable tax." Sony really should just let the system be cracked at this point if people are getting close to that. No reason not to let it happen outside of Skeevy Japanese games that aren't going to ported to the West much longer anyway.
