No idea. He said himself that he's not a casting agent, so I doubt he studied Elba's entire body of work before the interview. It's likely that he last saw him in the Sky adverts for their new box set service where he appears as a normal geezer. I'd say 'himself', but you never know with actors.

Elba can still be fine either way, but others can be better. Like Adrian Lester or David Oyelowo.

Do you need Max to say more then "yeah hope is pointless" and then five seconds later come up with with a plan filled with hope?

Did you need more of Furiousa being trusting to get what she was about?

I mean the movie wasn't rocket science in how it built it's characters, story, or world. I feel like you'd have to be stupid not to get them.

Also even if you did'nt like the story(I also had a friend think it was boring because the characters did'nt talk) I'm not sure whats hard to get about people enjoying it for it's fantastic action, cinematography, art direction, set design, acting, world creation, and so on.
