My biggest story beef with RDR was you can be an absolute mass murdering mad men, like, kill everyone in Armadillo, but you still do missions with the Marshal and other sheriffs in the town. Same thing applies with the Mexican military and the town they occupy. John should've never worked with people established with authority, it doesn't fit what the player can and should do.

Being a goody goody cowboy rather than a ruthless and bloodthirsty murderer for hire makes the game a lot less fun. The blackjack and poker AI is so fucked that I exact revenge as soon as possible.

It worked for Teddy Roosevelt and Andrew Jackson.

No Man's Sky reminds me of when a University of Michigan professor invited me to a sociology department meeting with grad students. I was 14 and he was a family friend. Anyway at the end of the first meeting I attended the professor mentioned he wanted to discuss Bill Cosby at the next meeting; this was around the time Cosby was saying stupid shit about black people. So during the next meeting he went around the room asking people what they thought about Cosby. Lots of vague answers from the grad students. When he got to me I was ready. I had taken notes and did a decent amount of research, so I started talking and citing articles and quotes and all this other professional shit.

Everybody was impressed. Afterwards the professor asked me if I had anymore info, and whether I wanted to help him write a paper on Cosby. He started going on and on about all the work we could do, blah blah blah. He said "bring the rest of your material to my office tomorrow, you must have quite a bit of research." I didn't have shit.

I seriously want a Saints Row 5 more than any other game right now. Have they said anything about 5? I haven't been following much.

They've said they're working on new engine tech for next gen, which they started before IV. They'll be doing a presentation at GDC which might hint at their next game.

There were rumors of a "soft reboot" of Saints Row. Back to the off-kilter gang theme instead of superpowers and space and hell. And then build on top of it again. But nothing in a long time.

I worked on Saint's Row PSP, it was an original game not being handled by Volition obviously. It was pretty exciting when they released the ISO because I never was able to really talk about working on it beforehand.
