nintendrones rewriting history
wii was such a good console!
There was a ridiculous amount of pure garbage on the console but it had 2 of my absolute favorites - Xenoblade and Sin and Punishment 2. Plus a lot of great, lesser known games like Kororinpa, Muramasa, Klonoa Remake, Little Kings Story, the Konami Rebirth series, Cubello, and Opoona. Hell, it was better than the 64 and Cube imo.
64 is probably my least favorite Nintendo console and easily the 3rd place system that gen. Horribly lacking in the genres I like - RPG, fighting, 2D action, SHMUP. Blurry graphics that made every single 3D game look like near clones of each other. Abysmal framerates (OOT runs at what, like 15 FPS?). Terrible controller design. Games $20-30+ more than PS1/Saturn.
Cube was a step up from 64 but Nintendo's first party was a bit weak, outside of the amazing Melee. Wii definitely had a more diverse library than both 64 and Cube, and Wii U's got the best first party games since the SNES days, even if the 3rd party is basically nil. Like, even worse than N64's "dream team" with such luminaries as Acclaim on it.
