I can understand being on the odd side of the argument, I'm a pretty neurotic person and I've enjoyed some shitty videogames, so running into opposition online about stuff is only natural. But giving a police officer that wanted to eat women and was stalking them support via videogame forums?

There really isn't much to argue. He's broken and needs to be isolated via prison/mental institute. I think police officers that abuse power should get harsher penalties for the crimes they commit, these people need to be held of higher standards.

Are they though? Anecdotal evidence and all that but I still see tons of kids in the game stores I go to picking up Mario and Nintendo titles and amiibos and shit. Not to mention, Nintendo games still have staying power after years. Though yeah I'm one of those people who really likes Mario Maker but am clueless as to the appeal of Minecraft.

If it's episodic, isn't there a good chance it'll be spread over enough time (3 chapters a year or two apart) for the last part to be around when PS5/Xbox4 come out. Which suggests everything will get a re-release in definitive 4k editions?
