So I was almost removed from a Gamestop today!

So I haven't been into a GameStop in awhile and I decided that with wanting to preorder a PSVR and pay it off a bit over time this would be the place to go. Boy was I wrong!

The man ahead of me was buying a PS3 game and asked the lady are there any more PS3 games coming out or are they pretty much done. She responds with there are no more PS3 or 360 games being released that they are completely done with those systems.

He then asks well what about all his downloaded games and content and she replies they announced last year that they would be shutting the servers down for the PS3, you won't be able to play online or download games anymore.

At this point I'm just kinda standing behind the guy with my mouth literally dropped to the floor I could not believe what I was hearing. I said to the guy I'm sorry I don't know where she's getting her info from but this is honestly not the case there's a handful of games still coming out for PS3 in the coming months and that Japan was still making games for the PS3 that could be localized although they will be very few and far between. And that for at least another few years your purchased titles will be downloadable still.

He then being a bit more relieved asks about a Backwards Compatible PS4 and this lady... The store manager no less says yes her Sony rep had told her there was a new model coming out that would be backwards compatible... And I laugh very audibly at this point and ask her if she's talking about the PS4K which she then gave me a weird look and said she had never heard of that.

At this point I just let the guy know that this person is just feeding him utter nonsense and to just not take any of this to heart and she replies with that she will be calling security to remove me because I am affecting her business with this man. I laugh and apologize and take my leave. I will preorder from Amazon but this has honestly been an eye opening experience and am somewhat sad because this mall GameStop was a really great one up until a year or two ago when they changed out the majority of their staff... But man this visit was really something else.

I'm noticing Scientist Supreme a lot more than Lime lately for some reason.  The latter at least puts effort into trying to justify his extreme (and sometimes ignorant) views, while the former just seems to be jumping down people's throats without explaining anything.  Just makes me not want to be on their side, even if I'm closer to it than the other one in this single instance.

Could just be me though.  There's a lot of gaffers with odd views (hell, I'd probably count myself among them), but the ones being irritating dickheads that are absolutely unwilling to understand the opposing viewpoint are the ones I'm more likely to take notice of.
