Oh for sure. But I wasn't saying Pokemon GO was the first AR game evarr. Even the 3DS had limited AR tech demo things.
If you had a Vita 3G, it's certainly possible someone could have made a game like Pokemon GO. But that didn't happen.
I would also argue that GO really only works in a smartphone because of its immediacy, and beyond that, its reach. The reason Pokemon GO blew up was the social part, which wouldn't have worked on Vita because nobody has a Vita.
Both Vita 3G and smartphones have high-res touchscreens, GPS, and a constant data connection (though I would argue 4G is kind of the minimum for GO, see also: GO Fest.) But not only did a game like Pokemon GO not appear on Vita, even if it did it wouldn't have taken off. (There's also the separate argument that less than like 5% of Vitas ever sold were the 3G versions, as they were quickly killed off.)
I slagged on your example because it's lazy. "t@g" lets you put graffiti on things. I assume there's some light gamification. But the experience isn't nearly as deep or social as Pokemon GO. GO is light compared to "real" games, but it's at least a
game. Compared to "t@g"? Yeah, I'm still gonna go with "Lol."
But please, keep insisting that Pokemon GO can be replicated on dedicated game systems.
