Not a big fan of federal constructions and stuff like the Electoral College, but the reasons it still exist I thought are obvious to anyone. Fucking the heartland out of the provisions protecting them from "flyover" to just "afterthought country" is not the message you want to sent now. It's understandable why some people are apprehensive. I have three family members who have legitimate concerns for their legal status in this country considering his "First day in office" checklist.

it's like we've been finishing in lower mid-table obscurity season in, season out playing football with no identity or purpose beyond staying in the premier league, building a team around has beens and utility lumpers snatching 1-0 wins against sunderland at home. 

now the nightmare has come and we've been relegated, but with it given a chance to rebuild. clear out the dead wood, ask ourselves exactly what kind of club we want to be and bring in the players to build a proper footballing identity.

it's going to be a rough season or two, sky sports super sunday fixtures at old trafford and the emirates replaced by trips to rotherham and wigan, but when we do come back up we'll have an actual idea of who we are, bound by hardships and stock full of the grit required to get out of this hellish league. then maybe we'll actually have a chance of achieving something.
