Make some mildly anti-Hilary tweets and apparently you deserve whatever happens to you. A large segment of GAF has completely jumped off the deep end.

They are morally broken.  These are the people who fail the test of living in a Trump landscape.

I guess it's appropriate slacktivists would scorn a man -who is paying the price of his convictions (whatever your opinion on those) by several years of exile at best- for a couple of tweets.

Also unsurprinsingly : Slayven, royalan and other usual suspects (RESIST RESIST RESIST) making complete bellends of themselves in that thread.

I think it's pretty sad that some people are so quick to paint detractors of Snowden as deranged Hillary fans.

In any case, it's not a good look. :wag

Acquaintance got an N64 and bunch of associated junk from a garage sale last summer and it included the expansion pak, so I was looking up a list of what games use it and what they use it for (which seems to be mostly just allowing for a larger frame buffer damn the framerate) and in the Google results was this A Black Falcon masterpiece: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=473262

A lot of PoliGAF has long despised Snowden. (Or get upset when somebody like Apple refuses to compromise their security by inserting backdoors, etc.) There's a lot of them who dismiss whole swaths of positions as blind anti-Western hatred. A couple of them hate Glenn Greenwald more than and use the same descriptions of him as this conservative who used to (still does?) post on Reason about how Obama betrayed the country by refusing to invade Iran immediately to save Christianity from gay activist judges.

What has happened since Snowden's surveillance disclosures? The public now know about a bunch of NSA oddly-named surveillance programs and what has changed? Did people naively think that organisations like the NSA wern't running operations like the ones that were leaked? There's a reason why they have a very high annual electricity bill. Haven't you guys seen "Enemy of the State"? What has his whistleblowing accomplished apart from warning terrorists and criminals that they need to be more cautious?

is this the left's "if you have nothing to hide"  ???

"Hate speech" is heavily subjective. If you're going to call it out, make sure you know what's being said or else you'll end up as a comedy clip.

"Hate speech" is heavily subjective.

Lol no it's not.

Some idiots getting offended over innocuous things doesn't make it so.

But "some idiots" tend to end up many idiots. Hate speech laws have a habit of expanding rather than staying limited.

Online Harassment falls under the same problem. The sorts of people who make these things a high concern are doing so in order to abuse the idea or any laws built around them. They tend to attract the manipulative. Jewish groups try to get criticism of Israel listed as hate speech. Other people want to make criticism of BLM hate speech. To be critical it to be disparaging, and anyone who feels disparaged may find a way to make the case that they are victims of hate speech.

It's why it's a circle of accusation. Better to just criticize the nonsense in the speech rather than call it"hate speech", because that's too lazy a term to use and equally as easy to dismiss as it is to apply.

I get that hate speech does fall under free speech and shouldn't be criminalized in and of itself, but I find it ironic when calling it out is met with "dude, it's free speech!".

Exactly.

AFAIK people aren't saying he should be silenced. Just that he should eat shit and die. That's free speech too. :yeshrug

The problem is that it got physical violent, so it passes from "telling" to "demanding it by violence".

Hyperbolic thread title.
PSN has been much better since ps4 released. I've been getting excellent speeds since day one (better than on my xbox one) and the storefront is miles better. Even the outages have been getting rarer compared to even a year or two ago.

There's room for improvement, yes, but a blanket statement like 'psn is awful' is not the reality for most people that I know who have the console and a lot (most?) people here on GAF.
