"Hate speech" is heavily subjective.
Lol no it's not.
Some idiots getting offended over innocuous things doesn't make it so.
But "some idiots" tend to end up many idiots. Hate speech laws have a habit of expanding rather than staying limited.
Online Harassment falls under the same problem. The sorts of people who make these things a high concern are doing so in order to abuse the idea or any laws built around them. They tend to attract the manipulative. Jewish groups try to get criticism of Israel listed as hate speech. Other people want to make criticism of BLM hate speech. To be critical it to be disparaging, and anyone who feels disparaged may find a way to make the case that they are victims of hate speech.
It's why it's a circle of accusation. Better to just criticize the nonsense in the speech rather than call it"hate speech", because that's too lazy a term to use and equally as easy to dismiss as it is to apply.
