Zelda really is a 10/10 game folks. No tears to feast on with this one. If you ever even remotely liked Zelda games, this is gonna be your shit. First game I've given a perfect score to since like, probably The Witcher 3.
The reviews are fucking insane so far.

It's been hard to not talk about it. It really solves the open world game design issues of boredom and meaningless exploration. Best thing about it is that there is always, from start to finish, a reason to go poke around stuff. And also, for a change, you actually CAN climb that mountain in the distance.  And there will be a reason for you to do so and likely there will be some type of reward that means something, not like, a wheel of moldy cheese.

New Zelda looks like shit.

These reviews are bullshit.

I mean Skyward Sword also got a million 10s and it was absolute trash.

If the new Zelda is getting more 10s it only means it's slightly better than Skyward Sword. Not a high bar to clear.

Still going. As of now Jimmy Kimmel has been written off as a racist, and now a quote from Warren Beatty from 20 years ago has firmly established him as a shitlord.

All kindsa people walking into pile on minefields in that thread.

Kimmel has always been a douche and his statement reveals a lack of consideration that the Moonlight team are the actual winners. When mistakes like this are made the reaction has always been a variation of "our bad it wasn't you but you did great work and are still deserving of some recognition but this is their reward."

Kimmel could only empathize with the La La Land team but not the Moonlight team and that's a clearer sign of racism at play here, subconsciously or consciously.

Is Zelda good for someone who dislikes Zelda? The open world part sounds good. I like the idea of exploration, but I dislike puzzles. I also feel like this is'nt going to be guided at all, so it's going to be full of "where do I go?" and I'm really a critical path type person. I mean the game looks good and it seems to finally have voice acting. It doesn't seem like a typical cheap Nintendo production, but it also feels like it will be full of padding and take forever to playthrough.

I actually know Yulree, the girl from the tour bus, my buddy had a crush on her in college for at one point so we used to make excuses to look at computers in the department she worked in (I worked in IT).

Also this is the first I even heard of the controversy.

in high school i definitely ironed almost everything i wore but anymore it's just work clothes. however i've now changed from a job where ties were required for men to a job where jeans and a polo is considered "dressing up" so my wardrobe is going to need some adjustment.
