Though I find his shock and awe that nobody in the games press came to his defense to be unbelievable. He worked in the industry for years, he should know they'd send him out to die. He knows exactly what they are. Shortly before the tweet, he interviewed Jason Schreirer of Kotaku. On the show, Jason made the false accusation that PDP sent his followers after the WSJ. This is an easily checked lie and Colin knew it was a lie, but didn't call him out on it. So why do you act surprised when a douche like that doesn't have your back?

I don't think Colin was that invested into games. He was more interested in other stuff and Rubin(plus the faux-outrage) gave him a path out.

There's a guy posting gross negligence on a medical practice that would cost him his license and then you say it's no biggie. By deleting it at least you point out it's a biggie. They didn't go as far as reporting him to authorities, but they at least don't tolerate illegal behavior in the forum (given enough pressure, not because they wanted to. i'm pretty sure besada's abdominal folds were clapping at the thought of conservatives enduring extra pain).

Because Titanboa behavior was mostly ignored by users and mods (in a forum that is otherwise thinskinned as fuck) while Riposte (a veteran user) was banned because calling out this behavior in GAF and Twitter. The correct curse of action would have been banning Titanoboa with a warning of not sharing that kind of shit in GAF and warning Riposte in private of not spreading the fire.
