Thought the Ghosts story was more like Trump/Chavez wet dream of south america invading the US
I don't think they ever invade really, just hijack US technology to wreck up the Mexican border area, then the Ghosts do all kinds of missions down south and there's more tech hijacking. The US is always shown as the superior military force except that the "war" can't be fought like the ludicrous one shown in MW2 and 3.

It's actually almost the same plot and locations as Bad Company 2 only with crappier level design.

Which is probably why I kinda liked it. And it ripped off some of that dynamic level stuff which both series dropped immediately.
I was talking more about how Infinity Ward's A-Team had all basically bolted after
MW2, and what was left cobbled together
MW3 with help from the forming Sledgehammer and then even a bunch of the IW leads left after it (even the infamous "community manager" who had been suddenly promoted to producer), and then whatever was left of Neversoft was shunted into IW to pump out
Ghosts in the old CoD dev cycle and Sledgehammer hadn't yet totally sent the series past "modern warfare" what with Blops 2 also being set in a "near" decade or so future with only slightly more advanced technology. So it winds up being this kind of sorta spin-off by the "in name only" developers that started the Modern Warfare franchise.
