It seems every movie gets called a mess by some unchecked person. Which then spreads through the internet.

Every movie is a mess in production especially special effects heavy movies. Where things are out of shot out of context and for months it's all just green screen exchanges and wip scenes. You'll start to get a feel for what the movie will be about 4 months into post.

The problem is all it takes is one person to say something is shit and we go from there.

I did wonder when he'd do this. He must know that the only reason people followed him was the 'insider' stuff'. No one else cares about his thoughts on anything else. God, ain't that the truth. I've turned out cathedrals of code in the past and if you came in the middle of it it looked like a bunch of babies with shotguns and alligators. Nothing is ever simple. That being said there is a difference between "things are on fire, but we'll make it" and "there's going to be a smoking crater when we're done" . Issue is, it generally takes some wisdom and experience to tell the difference between the two and everyone things they have both of those even if they couldn't tell an ant from a semi. I figure it can't really be much different with movies.

It struck me as moving faster, as putting more a little emphasis on the comedy (largely due to basically being all the previous commercials' punchlines being strung one after another in a minute tops) with bouncier, more propulsive/less dramatic music underscoring everything.

I still remember when the LeBron and the Heat beat San Antonio at home in Game 2 of the 2014 finals and Bam Bam went on some rant about not even caring about the NBA anyway.

If the Heat win I'll just take a break from the NBA until something new and actually interesting comes along. It's no big deal when you follow so many different sports.

I don't think you realize how little impact the NBA has on my sports watching.

Cue the Spurs winning the series and Bams was right there celebrating "his" team winning the title.  And eventually jumping ship to Golden State and hating the Cavs once LeBron switched teams.

Yeah I guess (not really viable for the hinterland, etc...) but that's not what the quote is about however. The hilarious part is the misplaced superiority complex for past generations and the complete obliviousness to any historical context : mechanization was absolutely a major progress and uptake in the quality of life, not some inconsequential decision taken because of the low opinion on the value of human life or the intelligence of the common man.
