South Park peaked for me with season 6. The episode where they roast John Edward and other "psychics"  .  Was also the "Simpsons did it" season plus the first Lord of the rings parody where they have to take the One True Ring porno back to Mount Doom Blockbuster.   

I would have guessed that season was 10ish years ago but I just looked it up. It was way back in 2002.

 

I haven't seen a new episode in probably 5 or 6 years at this point, I have no idea what the quality is like anymore.

They have the gall to make fun of everything, including some of the "absurd" aspects of the social justice movement. There is nothing fucking funny or absurd about social justice. I can say this because I am 100% pure of heart and have a more nuanced understanding of human nature than they ever will. I am more deserving of love than south park fans, which are all complete trash.

My sense of humor is more evolved and more sophisticated than the white, cisgender, male, fucking centrist style of humor of Matt and Trey. They would probably say I take things too seriously and get too heated over things that I should laugh at instead and that I sound more whiney and angry than anything. They would say people who are expressing what I am right now are self-righteous and lack an ability to laugh at themselves. FUCK them.

I'm fucking funny and I take humor very seriously and privileged garbo that are on the wrong side of history like they are will never have the pureness of heart and social sophistication to mine any genuine absurdity in stuff like what I'm saying in this post for the sake of "satire". FUCK.

I need 100 street lamps. Okay, finite cost. Pretty easy to measure. One person needing medical coverage is something that could stretch to infinity. Is it fair? no, but life isn't fair either. From personal experience in my country, when all the bonus and welfare add up, a poor person ends up more privileged than someone who was technically earning double the amount, because that person doesn't get jack shit. Example, you can get free housing almost (with the programs for social housing) by earning minimum wage (around 700€), but you have to pay a full rent (which would rbe around 800€) if you earn, let's say 1000-1200€. Okay. makes sense. Wait no, it doesn't. Also you don't have access to bonus to go to dentists for free, or food stamps, or any kind of reduced cost on water/gas/electricity. So yeah, fuck socialist ideas. The idea that a person should get treatments worth of thousands of dollars from someone else is simply stupid.

I also loathe the idea of giving blood. I really don't donate any blood. Reasoning? I was a blood donor, and so was my mom. My mom had a terrible accident and needed a blood transfusion. Guess what, they couldn't guarantee that the blood transfussion would be clear of HIV or HepC. Okay, so you're telling me i'm giving you fucking plasma and i'm not even in a list where I can get clean blood when i need it once? Go fuck yourself. it's the same principle: you give and don't get in return when you need. So i'm keeping all that plasma in my body, thanks.

Now, if it's something like an accident based illness, society should cover you. To that extent I agree. In fact paying taxes on a society means you're part of it, you're contributing to the maintenance of it. And if something happened that crippled you, you deserve a compensation. But if it's something that originates from you, well, then that's not the whole society's fault, is it?

I live in a place where literally my neighbors don't work at all and have all sorts of commodities. And the neighbor of my grandma's house is essentially a trespasser living for free (yes, I mean the owner can't actually do shit until the trial goes through, and that normally takes two years) because our laws allow him to, despite having a 60k car on the entrance. I live in a society that is borderline to a crumble because we never fought when the politicians kept taking more, in bits, and right now our society is breeding people that don't know what contribution means at all. Btw, we had a 20% of unemployment rate last year. As  I said, we're brewing something very dangerous with this and we're surviving with politicians taking money from social security accounts and getting more and more indebted, despite the average citizen paying 60-70% of what they're paid in taxes. Welcome to Spain.

I'm paying for the retirement of elderly people who worked their asses off, i'm perfectly fine with that. Nothing assures me i'll ever get a penny when i'm retired because that's not how this works. I have an issue with those thinking that public institutions should handle all your life aspects. Normally they're the biggest source of corruption and they actually make laws to protect themselves. so letting them "take" just because "something something can't prove a substantial change in medical attention will happen but it will completely change the landscape of tax distribution" with added tears is not really ok in my book. As I said, my life experiences are different from many of yours because I don't live in America. I hear Cuba has great healthcare btw.


Of course I can't ask most of you, living in a country with a 4.9% of unemployment rate to understand the grievances of someone seeing his future tied to a shitshow of a country (that has public healthcare but pays for it like a premium insurance despite needing weeks to get a simple magnetic resonance). In short, when you give leniency to politicians with the taxes, it's just gonna be a bit more, a bit more, a bit more. How can public healthcare work in the US? probably changing laws and enforcing minimum wage jobs to provide some sort of healthcare bonus by default. Something that doesn't actually clash with the current structure of american society.

I completely agree with this sentiment. For example, people with pre-existing conditions that can't really have an insurance are SOL. Things have to change, but I really beg you not to follow the model of universal healthcare because it doesn't work. It's a way to collect more taxes, and the fact you can't easily measure budgets because you can't prepare exactly for the costs of people going to the doctor unless you have an excellent crystal ball, it leads to overfunding but with a terrible efficiency.

As I said, I live in acountry with 20% unemployment. Believe me it's not a good look, and people really exploit the system because they're actually working avoiding taxes as they get to keep welfare in general and get better access to housing. I don't blame them because our politicians do the same shit on a millionaire level, but as I normally say, politicians are nothing but a reflection of the average citizen. So the amount of corruption we have comes from a very similar attitude from the bottom. As I said, I can't speak about the USA. unemployment rate seems low there. I think that people would rather take a job than stay at home. Well, here it's quite different.

The millions dying thing isn't as fun a mass talking point because they're just following the brand orders and always pluck some giant number out of the air that they think sounds close to something someone said or a headline said and millennial Aunt Maxine already topped them all by saying "700 billion people" will die if a Republican Congress passes any kind of change to health insurance laws.

But that second category I do enjoy. Every single thread has someone with an elaborate "my friend/sister/grandmother/wolf familiar/a youtuber I watch who might actually be alt-right but I'm unsure so I'll say 'friend'/etc. now has health care and they will die if this gets changed." Because you know it's a lie. The people with immediate life threatening illnesses requiring constant expense care around the clock who also somehow work and make enough to not qualify for Medicaid but not enough to pay for/acquire any kind of health care/insurance without new heavy subsidization and do not live in a state that already had higher standards than the PPACA required of minimum plans, let alone high level plans that would cover someone who would literally die without continuous health care, is so small as to be statistically negligible. Fair enough, I simply said what i feel like from the implementation of universal healthcare and its evolution in less than 50 years of democracy. Back 28 years ago or so the political party in charge announced a complete bankrupcy of the healthcare system and retirement money, to the point that those with a private pension fund would have to live off it because there wasn't enough for everyone. How can public healthcare work in the US? probably changing laws and enforcing minimum wage jobs to provide some sort of healthcare bonus by default. Something that doesn't actually clash with the current structure of american society.

So you don't live in the US, yet you are against ACA? You are applying some other country's healthcare system to your country's structure. There is no universal system that works for all. Each country has to find what works for them. It's like you're arguing how a gun law in California won't work in Bosnia.

No doubt that you're not having a good time in your situation. You are painting the idea of universal health care doesn't work no matter what using your country as the standard. This isn't about ACA applying to whatever country you're in. But it's applying to the US's healthcare system and under US's government. So you have to look at it in that setting instead of your own and screaming how it just won't work.

To add to that, insurance able to use "pre-existing condition" to deny you of coverage sucks. Especially if all the insurance companies do that and you have no where to go. For example, in Hong Kong insurance companies do have selective coverage that the insurance companies use. I could get health insurance that will cover me except for my forth metacarpal bone on my right hand due to me having it fractured before. So if I were to break my hand again, if that particular bone breaks again, it will not be covered. And the insurance company can use that to dismiss my entire hospital bill because it's fallen under "pre-existing condition". They also cover you having things like cancer once. Then they won't cover you anymore if it were to resurface again. Then you are shit out of luck. Also the insurance here is that as you get older, the more expensive it gets. So don't get old lol.
