That main grove of Locomotive in the verses is so tasty. I find that UYI 1&2 is strong in the longer pieces and the all out epics. Most of the Appetite type rockers seem to be a step down on the UYI 1&2. You Could Be Mine dating back to the Appetite era isn't a surprise as it seems to be the best straight up rocker off of the YUI albums. Really like Double Talking Jive too, but that's kind of a cool song that stands on its own. Down with the two selected covers too.

Absolutely sensational albums all round. Surprisingly little filler for essentially two double albums as well.

I decided not to go with appetite and moved on to Megadeth's Rust in Peace.

That got me into a heavy/extreme mood and now I've got Necromantia's Crossing the Fiery Path album on.

Couldn't care less about this festival (the whole scene to be be seen aspect, the gaudyness of it, the cost. Something about it is so off putting), but, Kyary freakin Pamyu Pamyu is playing so I have massive hopes for a NA tour.

Not sure if the vocals are working for me. May have to get used to it.

The band "envy" released a new record last month. I haven't listened to it. It features this song. I'd really like to see them live at some point. I saw that in the past they played with Touche Amore in Japan (Touche being an American band that was doing a Japan tour). Man that would have been a dream for me.

But a record I was listening to a lot in February was from the Japanese band "For Tracy Hyde". And in retrospect it is one of my favorite 2019 records. Really just love everything about it. It's so comforting to me. I hope they make it out to North America. I'd be the first in line.

Came across this while listening to Lee Perry's Arkology reel. The dub version was missing the godly 'na na na's, much prefer the original here

Asian tinged synthpop. Some fantastic guitar work on this album.

I know it's cool to hate on Interpol now, this track off their latest is a great argument that they still got it.

Whimsical lo-fi pop, love the instrumentation on this album.
