Where there is desolation, there is hope.

Where there is poverty, there is humility.

Where there is weakness, there is fire.

Anderson sucks so I'm looking forward Marchand raking up some wet leaves on the way to his hat trick.

2-1 Canucks in a shootout. All 3 goals scored by Canucks.  :lol Gonna be a loooooong season for both teams (but I cheer for the nucks).

I could see them making a play for one of the Flyers' goalies strictly because of the relationship between the teams (although as a Flyers fan first I hope that doesn't happen)
Otherwise they could pilfer Miller from the Canucks

Had a good three-game streak going when Tuukka returned to the goal but our shitty defense had to rear its head eventually. 5-2 loss. :goty

Hoping we pull it together for tonight's game, don't know much about the Sabres this season.

and no kadri suspension either
yes...yes...late the hate flow through your veins canucks fans....make the irrational choice and fire your coach who's doing the best he can with what he's given and not fire your GM who is actually to blame....yes....

@VomKriege:

Expected big teams this year are: Washington Capitals, Pittsburgh Penguins, Montreal Canadiens, Tampa Bay Lightning, Chicago Blackhawks. Maybe throw Anaheim, San Jose or St.Louis in there too. There's a lot of parity nowadays because the way the points work, so teams are fighting for playoffs spots until basically the last day of the season.
Also Edmonton is doing well early on the heels of Conor McDavid, and the Leafs are also fun to watch with Auston Matthews and a bunch of other young guys. (I mention those players because they were the 1st overall picks the past two years and have been playing very well).

Do you like any team in particular? I can give you a write up of their past three years + their outlook for this year if you want (don't know how out of the loop you are).

Nah thanks, you satisfied my general curiosity. Blackhawks and Penguins were expected. Was a bit surprised by the mention of the Capitals but I do see they had some strong regular season numbers. Also didn't keep track of Ovechkin and that he is already the best scoring player in the history of the franchise.

Happy for you guys. We're waffling pretty hard (as expected) between a 2-4 game win streaks and 2-4 game lose streaks.

Somehow we went from 4th to 3rd in the division despite the recent losses though. I'll take it.

Yea I'm enjoying it while it lasts lol
Bruins just got unlucky today facing a Leafs team that no one can predict how they'll do.

At least some Bruins alum have done well lately; Dougie Hamilton with a great OT winner the other night, although I'm not sure if you're still a fan of a former B
Also you gotta think Columbus will fall down to earth as well soon and open up at least a wild-card spot.

edit: looks like he's doing pretty well in Calgary tonight too; 2 goals so far
