4 years radio silence for low budget Bayonetta?  :info Better set your expectations for Metroid Prime 4 accordingly.

With that emphasis on controlling large monsters, I can't help but wonder if someone decided to take things from Scalebound and use them in Bayonetta 3.

It was a weird direct. Also felt like Koizumi was phoning it in and about ready for that Tencent money bag.

Like pretty much every PS State of Play  :-\

So I guess with the rickety but still classic 64 Zelda's coming to Online, guess that debunks any rumors of the OoT Remake and/or the 3DS Remasters being ported to Switch?  If so, I may up and sell my Switch after Dread and BOTW2. :doge

The only interesting thing in that ND was wireless N64 controllers

Those things are a fucking manufacturing nightmare and I thought they were gonna be stupidly expensive, but apparently they're just jacking up the price of the Genesis pad to also be $50 to make up for it  :woooo

Castlevania GBA collection is cool. I always liked Circle of the Moon but it got panned a lot because before the GBA SP it was too dark of a game for a non-backlit screen. Harmony was alright and Aria was good.

I really wish the collection had the three DS metroidvanias as well so it'd be a complete metroidvania (sans SoTN) collection. Does anyone really want the SNES version of Drac X? After the PC Engine version and the PSP version it feels like the most uninteresting Drac X. Also it's not a metroidvania, why is it in this package?

Finally tried the Wario demo. Man, this game fucking sucks. Why do I have to use all these characters, some who control way worse than others and make mini-games harder just because the controls suddenly suck? What a terrible campaign idea.

Time to pick up that DIY one I missed on DS instead.

They'd have to actually do some work to change up or remove the touchscreen stuff (even though rom hacks have already done this), and it's Konami, so not expecting it.   :-\

She's a younger version from an alternate timeline.

Had to go look this up:

Quote
After Balder's defeat, Bayonetta rescues Cereza and returns her to her own time, singing to her as she tucks her into bed. This chain of events ends up creating a new universe, which this version of Cereza inhabits.

Cereza stands alongside Jeanne in the new timeline.

In the new altered timeline, she instead wears the Umbran Watch on her at all times. Because of this, the stab which sets off the ritual that sealed her failed and instead strikes the watch. Instead of losing her will to fight, she is inspired by her future self, whom she had met and mistaken as her authentic mother. As a result, she retains her fighting spirit after witnessing her actual mother's death and fights off the angels and people of the Witch Hunts alongside Jeanne.

This change allows her to awaken the power of the Left Eye, which affects both the parallel universe the time-displaced Cereza inhabits, and the Main Universe's counterpart.

So yeah, I guess that could be it...

...or it's just a hairstyle change.  :P

I'm going to grab Actraiser today, apparently it has some new tracks by the original composer so that's pretty sweet.  $30 is kinda steep but I feel obligated to support random remakes of 16-bit games I loved as a kid.  :P

I hear the Switch version has some spotty performance. Unless handheld is paramount, might be better getting it on another system.

Whenever I see a Bayonetta trailer and it has cutscenes I'm just like whyyyyyyyyyy

I wish action games had no cutscenes at all. Especially incredibly terrible cutscene/story ones like Bayo. I remember Bayo 2 had pretty much the worst story stuff ever in an action game. Even worse than DMC2!

Anyhow Bayo 3 reminded people of Scalebound because the director of Bayo 3 was the lead designer on Scalebound.

Advancevanias is a good thing, will buy once I get around to beating super Metroid.

Do existing subscribers get the N64 stuff or do you have to pay for upgrade?

And did anyone else get No More Heroes 3? I'm enjoying it. Flawed of course but the presentation and music are just so cool

You have to pay extra and the game selection is weak unfortunately.
Otherwise an N64 emulator with rewind and save states would be nice. Though most N64 games don't hold up all that well.
