Super Mario 3D World. And say pack it in with 3D Land to have a surefire hit release on Switch.

VGA's are still coming. I can see Nintendo drop a new Zelda BOTW2 teaser there and maybe Oddessey 2 / 3D World port announcements. With Animal Crossing in March they might slide a Mario port in January / February because NSMBU did great for them.

The only mistake I can see happening is that they wait too long to ship a Switch Pro for dedicated gamers and early adaptors. Because with all the Dynamic Resolutions a whole bunch of games could instantly benefit from a spec bump.

I doubt they'll port Woolly World. They already put it on 3ds. Then again, they did the same with Xenoblade and that's now on Switch.

Also Switch has a LOT to do to be able top the Super Nintendo or the Nintendo DS as Nintendo's crowning jewel. It could easily be third place, though. But right now it has keep this up for 4-5 more years. Then we can see if it's better than SNES or DS.

Oh yeah. Can definitely vouch for Woolly World. Much better than Crafty World. Sure I may be a few flowers away from 100% CW, but it's an average game allin all peppered with some greatness. Woolly World is a much more enjoyable experience.

Edit: sorry Bork. I know you already gave me a like, but I have one more thing to add. The main theme in CW drives me up the wall. I HATE It. And then there is the standard tune that often plays in the first level of each world which is awful too. I can't fully remember anymore as I'm dabbling in other parts of the game, but yes. WW much better music than CW.

Same.  And 3DS- but I wasn't really that into either one of those, so easy pick for me.

I would like to see some 3DS port-ups, too- Mario 3D Land as mentioned and A Link Between Worlds especially.

3D Land is mediocre besides the post-game. Not worth it.

Link Between Worlds is fantastic and deserves it. It made me believe in Zelda again after skipping on Skyward Sword entirely.

Shit that often plays in the first level of each world:

Shit that boots up the damn game:

Jesus Christ. You can understand why this game pisses you off right from the start and is essentially climbing uphill to my heart right off the bat.

Meanwhile. We get this stupendous track in Woolly World:

Damn. Daaaaaaaamn. When that 40 second mark kicks in

Well, I never played Yoshi's Island (please don't beat me over the head) so I can't say. I mean I guess like any DK game if your only goal is to clear the levels then it's pretty easy. But if your goal is to to get K O N G in every level then there is your challenge? Same applies to to these last two Yoshi platformers.
These post game boss time runs have been tough with the challenges you have to complete in them. That's pretty typical for Nintendo though, eh.

DS > 3DS

but 3DS had some very awesome highlights like Fire Emblem Echoes/Awakening, Samus Returns and many more.

The DS had more sleeper hits and surprises even in first party releases. Like Mario Kart DS was the best Mario Kart in a long time or Kirby's Canvas Curse. Plus a whole bunch of a weird third party games.

Switch is on track to beat both. But it needs METROID, F-Zero and some out of the left field stuff that isn't a port or remaster. I expect it destroys DS and 3DS by the end of 2020.

I mean I didn't play Twilight Princess until after BotW. Wii version too lol cause I bought a batch of Wii games I wanted to play when I got a Wii U and didn't get around to TP until after they released the HD version. C'est la vie.

My point being is that I'd take a Switch SS HD.

IMO the Switch is shaping up to be Nintendo’s best system. They may shit the bed Wii Music style but fortunately we haven’t seen that yet.

1-2 Switch not garnering much attention while BOTW became the best selling Zelda game ever saved us from any possible blue ocean Nintendo gaffes :rejoice

The Switch audience became pretty obvious to them early on, and thank fucking christ cause overall the Wii era was dire.

I don't fault Nintendo for doing Wii U ports. With the Wii U being a bomb and many of their first round of ports on Switch selling millions of copies, it’s inevitable. Surprised 3D World wasn’t announced but with NSMBU out this year, maybe they want to give it some space?

Weird that Puyo Puyo 2 is included with the SNES rom batch instead of Kirby's Avalanche.

Reminded me to go download the Super Famicom app from the J-eShop.  Not sure if anything is different on the games offered apart from the tennis and soccer games.

Joe & Mac 2 is the third in a game series in Japan?  What was the original game then?  ???

EDIT: Congo's Caper is considered the sequel to the original game.

Yeah. Days ago. I went to hyrule. Took a long way to kakariko apparently. Fought horseback’s bokoblins on foot and stole a horse. Arrived in kakariko and thought that would allow me to fast travel to it on my map. On the way back died without horse, horse didn’t come back. Later found a stable and learned you have to register the horse first. Last night caught another horse - wild this time - and registered it, and now back in kakariko. Hyrule Area is kind of slow and sucks so I’ll explore the rest of the world first. Want to learn how to fast travel to kakariko first tho.
