It's preference. I use the default emulator because it's lightweight, and doesn't take space from adding Retroarch. Input Lag is also lower than using Retroarch. Some games do have issues, so you will have to deal with it, but for reference I have like 170 games on my Classic, so the ones that don't work or have issue, I can live without.

Feel free to talk about it in the Random Gaming Talk thread or something if you want more info, would be glad to discuss the Classic and Nintendo's emulator.

That SNES lineup isn't bad, most already on the Classic. But some games on there have issues with the Classic's emulator, so curious if this is an updated emulator they are using.

Toad is great Cindi  put 15 hours into it. Demo is really bebe levels.

Really excited to play all the SNES games I missed (Mega Drive man).

Spelunker Party demo - really liked it. It’s simple, cheap arcade fun. Had low expectations due to the NES kusoge that I’ve played. Seems more inspired by the arcade version. Fun, simple stuff. I imagine it’s fun as hell with multiplayer. Will buy.

Also that prompted me to search Spelunky on Switch. No Spelunky.

And Switch reminds me more of ps2 honestly Lager. Lots of hidden gems combined with tons of must haves with a healthy B game selection.

Switch is crazy and Nintendo has went HAM on this system. Going back to July, on average they have more than one non-Wii u retail exclusive dropping every month.

Overwatch is not getting a physical release here- they're going the "code in a box" route.  But apparently Japan is getting a physical version.  Why do they keep doing this?
 

Edit: This came from Nintendo Everything and might be bullshit- the Nintendo site for the game just says "パッケージ版は今冬発売予定"- "Packaged version this winter."  That could mean the same code in a box that we're getting.

The lack of decent Karaoke games (in the US) is pretty fucked up though.

Nope. I have never needed or wanted a copy of a save. This is a genuine question, not a troll. Why?

if the console is lost/stolen/dies or transferring data to a new console without having to keep the new and old console both come to mind as reasons

personally i'm okay with only cloud backups but tying them to a paid sub is stupid. there should be a free way to backup saves (local, cloud, whatever) without hacking the device.
