Well I doubt SMTV and the SE game are exclusive to the Switch. I'm sure SMTV is reusing P5's assets and well might as well release it on the PS4 where your core audience is if you're making a console game. SE is'nt going have a console game not on the PS4 either.
Still, outside of Xenoblade(which jesus how do they continue to have the worst character designs) I'm not sure whats to be excited about. Showing me some cool jrpgs gets me excited sure and I'll buy a Switch for those, but my problem with Nintendo is they don't offer a lot for people who don't give a shit about their traditional ips. Which honestly seems like most people, beyond the faithful and I'm not seeing a lot that will change people. A Pokemon full HD JRPG might have as Pokemon is no doubt their most mainstream appealing IP, but I guess there's Mario? The showing was just the normal Nintendo that doesn't speak to the non-Nintendo faithful.
The battery life seems abysmal. I have to carry around a tablet that I also need to remember to bring the two controller things and it only really will last 2 hours lets be honest. Why would I use it as a portable instead of my ipad or phone? So that gimmick doesn't actually seem to replace the handheld aspect promised.
Sure, EA and Ubisoft are there again to spout the same shit. Why believe any of it? Why buy fifa on the Switch when I can already buy a version that will probably look the same or even look better on the consoles I already own and already pay for the online?
This just seems like another Nintendo console and I can't help but see it fail. They are trying to chase two separate markets, but at the same time and failing. They can't beat the Ipad, I'm sorry and you're not going to be the PS or the Xbox in the home console area. Just like the Wii U, it seems to be this also ran, and well thats a problem.
